Please look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Francisco_Bangoy_International_Airport, thank you for your commenting that if you could put some sources if Air Frontier will fly to Darwin, and if Asiana Airlines will fly to Seoul-Incheon, and Viva Macau will fly to Davao, for me as I am a Dabawenyo or from Davao that I would like to do that but Philippines AirAsia will fly connecting from Davao to Seoul-Incheon via Cebu and for Air Frontier is an International Airlines so we don't know yet if they will fly. Thank you for your cooperation. User: CloudyBark50924 (talk) 11:18, 27 February 2018 (UTC)
Beijing and Kuala Lumpur
[edit]Please look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Airports#Disam_or_Not_to_Disam on why Beijing and Kuala Lumpur is disam. There are 2 airports in Beijing with passenger service, Capital and Nanyuan. Kuala Lumpur also has 2 airports KLIA (Sepang) and Subang that have passenger service. [edit]Hi PikDig, i noticed that u have edited the Kota Kinabalu International Airport page, in particular this edit. In the edit summary u mentioned 'DG timetable'. Im quite curious to know what is that? Thanks. ќמшמφטтгמtorque 10:00, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Intent with edit to the CA Zephyr article
[edit]Just curious, what was your intent with this edit [1]? What was there was the infobox had the "new" Zephyr routing, while the prose had a bulleted list of the "original" CA Zephyr routing. Post this edit we have redundant copies of the current routing, with no list of the original routing. Is this what you intended to to?
If your intent was to make the list into a table for the original routing, I can help with parts, as I took the original CZ from Salt Lake to Denver. Please advise Dave (talk) 15:27, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I didn't notice that that was the original routing. I made the table to make it similar to other Amtrak routes. pikdig (talk) 15:30, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
- I agree that what was there had really poor formatting and needed to be improved. I'm not sure how to handle a former routing though. I think what you've done is a good idea, it's certainly more appealing that a bullet list. The problem is, the train depot on many of the cities no longer served has long been demolished, or converted to other uses. Any ideas on how to handle that? Dave (talk) 15:36, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
- We could probably insert another section which contains former cities/towns served and the corresponding year they pulled-out of those communities. pikdig (talk) 15:42, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

The reviews and customer service section on Cebu Pacific's wiki page.
[edit]Dear Mr. Pigdig,
I understand that WE (and not me alone) stand in conflict of interest.
You've now several times deleted my contribution to Cebu Pacific's wikipedia profile. My added section basically talked about the initiative 'Let's make Cebu Pacific better!' which is an initiative taken up by customers, as a consequence of poor customer service provided by Cebu Pacific.
I (as the main person behind the initiative) understand that you see my contribution as a more of a promotion, rather than as a relevant piece of information on Cebu Pacific's reality. With your 'feedback' I can see how this could be misinterpreted. Though I still think it has the rights and need to be mentioned, and as more than just a reference at the bottom of the page. When reading, the now deleted section, I interpret it as neutral and is not being judgmental in a nonconstructive manner.
The section is furthermore well justified with multiple reliable sources and references which agrees that the content is both true and significant.
So - my question is to you; how could I mention this (the 'Let's make Cebu Pacific better!' project), without seeming to just promote, but while still pointing out the initiative as being more than just a blog post?
In your mail (user talk), you threaten with reporting me to Wikipedia for self promotion. I hope we won't have to go this far, since I guess I could accuse you for 'tendentious editing' and your 'lack of burden of proof'. So I really hope that we can work around this together and 'meet in the middle'.
Hope to hear from you soon, and kind regards

[edit]Hi there. I have updated the information in the Wikipedia about General Santos International Airport. The information I have added are more accurate. By the way, I am a resident of General Santos City since birth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jakemonte80 (talk • contribs) 10:10, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- I have continuously reverted your edits for lack of references or sources. Thank you. pikdig (talk) 10:56, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Which one in particular? There may be no available online references for some of my updates but I can assure that all those are true. Do you have reference for "GenSan Pacific Cargo" and others? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jakemonte80 (talk • contribs) 14:46, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Do you have reference about the airport being the second largest in the Philippines? For sure it is the largest in the Island of Mindanao. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jakemonte80 (talk • contribs) 14:50, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- As per WP:Verify sources are 'required. I removed the cargo airline you mentioned as an anon user has apparently added it. Regarding the other data, other users already added that long before and cited their source. Thank you. pikdig (talk) 14:53, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Also, there is no "VIP Lounge" in the terminal building. Only there is "the Mabuhay Lounge by Philippines Airlines". You have also missed to update other developments like the covered well wishers area adjacent to the terminal building. What about the transportation and access to the airport? you must also say something about it. I know what's going on at the airport here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jakemonte80 (talk • contribs) 15:00, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
you cannot just make another Wikipedia source as your reference. it's ought to be from an authentic online source somehow...and from what had happened 15 years ago were not religiously documented in the legitimate websites...these must be put into considerations as well. internet was not widely being used back th — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jakemonte80 (talk • contribs) 15:06, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- May you please cite the source in the article you claim comes from Wikipedia? If you wish to add information, please provide references. All the current data in that article has been based on previous research with references cited in the article itself or in the edit summary. Also, there are some non-notable stuff that should not be placed in the article. For example, well-wishers area. Regarding the transportation, it is indeed lax in information. However, there have been no reliable sources to update it. I understand that you're from GenSan and that you may know more about what's going on there than we do here on Wikipedia. However, please keep in mind and be guided that Wikipedia has a strict policy on original research. Thank you. pikdig (talk) 15:07, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- Comes from "an authentic online source somehow", you say? Your additions does not come from "an authentic online source somehow" from what I see. Hence, why do you add it If you yourself says there has to be a reliable source for the things in Wikipedia? pikdig (talk) 15:10, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Bacolod-Silay International Airport
[edit]Mr. PikDig, let me state you reasons in why Bacolod-Silay International Airport's wiki page should be named by itself...
First of all, haven't you read this article? http://philippineairspace.blogspot.com/2011/12/bacolod-silay-to-open-international.html
Secondly, have you been to Bacólod? I have traveled four times in four airlines since December to Bacolod and they all say this: (read this guy's statement in an online forum) http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpost.php?p=87140043&postcount=641
Third, do you even read the sources sighted in the article? The online sources mentioned says that the airport is already open for other carriers to service international flights. What do you call an airport that services and can service international flights? An INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT!
Fourth, and maybe not the last, Sir Nigel Villarete, the General Manager of Mactan-Cebu International Airport, did not dispute the name change of Bacolod-Silay Airport to Bacolod-Silay International Airport in an online forum and in fact congratulated our city and our airport management for already having a permanent CIQ http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpost.php?p=87181012&postcount=654. What is it when an airport has a CIQ (Customs, IMMIGRATION and Quarantine), with emphasis on IMMIGRATION? It's an INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT! Added notice, Sir Nigel Villarete was in charge of planning for the new airport in Silay so he would be first to protest the name change in that forum if it were "MALICIOUS".
Also, let me dispute you with this... Iloilo Airport, which has no CIQ (Customs, IMMIGRATION and QUARANTINE) and does NOT serve actual international flights and has not been classified by CAAP yet as such, has INTERNATIONAL in the wiki page while Bacolod-Silay INTERNATIONAL AIirport, which is serving actual international flights, you keep on reverting to a name without international? Even in official CAAP papers, the name remains as Iloilo Airport and NOT Iloilo International Airport. The name "Iloilo International Airport" stems from a wish by their LGU for international status and NOT and actual name change. I cannot understand why is it that in the real world, it's name convention is already BACOLOD-SILAY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT but in Wikipedia it couldn't.
Another thing, I chose the username RepublicaNegrense since I was born in Bacolod City, regularly travel in Bacolod City, vote in Bacolod City, own a house in Bacolod City, and is one of the bloggers accredited with Silay City Tourism Office. Does that not merit my edits some regard too? — Preceding unsigned comment added by RepublicaNegrense (talk • contribs) 03:39, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Your recent editing history at Iloilo International Airport shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. WikiPuppies bark dig 18:02, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for the warning. However, I was just reverting his edits based on the guidelines on the infobox usage. Furthermore, if you go through the page's history, you would see that what he has done has also been reverting by a prior user. Lastly, if you also go through his edit summaries on the page's history, it might be assumed that the said user also violates WP:OR. However, as to not violate the 3RR, I will halt reverting his incorrect additions based on the guidelines setforth on the infobox template page. pikdig (talk) 18:13, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]Can you explain this please [[2]]? how is what I did vandalism? Hell In A Bucket (talk) 13:32, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
- Good Day! I am sorry for any possible misunderstanding that I may have caused. What was vandalism was the first edit of an anon that added the 'Future Airlines and Destinations' section as these are all unsourced and mere 'wild' speculation. Furthermore, as per WP:Airports policy, only future service with announced start dates should be listed on the destination section. I assume that your reversion of reverting the edit before yours (by re-adding the said section in question) was done in good faith. Hence, my comment of 'vandalism' was not directed at you. pikdig (talk) 13:46, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
- Good enough for me thanks. I had reverted because I saw a section blanking so I just didn't know what you saw that I didn't. Cheers. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 13:49, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

Codeshare Flights
[edit]Hi PikDig, I just noticed that you recently reverted my edit regarding the "Philippine Airlines operated by Cathay Pacific" in Mactan-Cebu International Airport, stating "Codeshare flights not to be listed under WP:Airports policy" whereas you placed "Philippine Airlines operated by PAL Express" in your latest edit. I am confused what really is the rule of the Airport Pages, as I tried to read the policy, it is not stated there about the "Codeshare flights not to be listed", and some other Airport pages are currently placing the codeshare flights. Please take note on this matter. Also, Philippine Airlines is currently serving Mactan - Hong Kong direct flights currently operated by Cathay Pacific. Thank you.
- Hi anon user! Please refer to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Airports/page_content, specifically, the example table and Items 2 & 3 under body. Philippine Airlines operated by PAL Express is acceptable under project guidelines since the flight is marketed by Philippine Airline and uses PR flight number only per timetables and booking engines (item 3). Philippine Airlines operated by Cathay Pacific is not acceptable since the flight carries the CX flight number and PR is a secondary flight number (item 2). If you can direct me to other airport ages that have codeshare flights listed, please do so so that I can correct these. Thanks! pikdig (talk) 02:54, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

2019 US Banknote Contest
[edit]US Banknote Contest | ||
---|---|---|
November-December 2019 | ||
There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here |
