Recent changes
[edit]Hello Pickle23, your review and critique of Iago ap Beli, Beli ap Rhun, Maelgwn Gwynedd, and several related articles are noted with appreciation, but you are contradicting cited and reliable sources when you erase the text and/or tag information as questionable without responding to a request to state your points on the talk page. If your objection is that the information is not in-line cited in the lead paragraph, note that it is the custom to avoid citations there if possible, and add in-line citations in the article body (which is how it was done). If your objection is to the citations themselves, then please go to the talk page and challenge them. If your objection is to the use of circa for dates known generally but not specifically, then please say so on the talk page. In any event, an edit summary claiming that evidence does not exist leaves other editors with nothing useful with which to improve the articles, and you are spending only about 30 seconds per article and altering several articles all at once, as if in "batch mode". One other note ... a revert of your changes along with a request to bring your objections to the talk page is the normal form to initiate discussion in order to reach consensus. You need not repeat the same objection on all of these talk pages, but for now, perhaps pick Talk:Maelgwn Gwynedd to get things started. I am looking forward to your response here or on the article talk pages. Regards, Notuncurious (talk) 18:12, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
WP:Research last call for cleanup before an RFC
[edit]I'm messaging you about this because you are listed as a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject_Research. PiperNigrum and myself are about to start the (poorly documented) process of submitting WP:Research for review by the community and I'm making one last call for cleanup and input. Please give the article a careful read if you have a chance. Unless major flaws are discovered, we'll be adding the {{rfc}} template to the talk page to start the process on March 2nd. That's one week from this posting. --EpochFail(talk|work) 22:36, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

If you will be able to attend the meetup from 10:30-11:45 a.m. on Saturday May 1, 2010 at the UIC Student Center West, please sign as an indication of your intent.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:34, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
The article Chicago Sport and Social Club has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Delete as notability not established. If this club merits an article, this article is not it - reads like an advert. Footnotes indicate mere mentions in media, not coverage of the club as a subject in itself.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Fayenatic (talk) 13:11, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion nomination of User:Pickle23/Chicago Sport and Social Club
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Pickle23/Chicago Sport and Social Club, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. —Compassionate727 (T·C) 04:15, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
