Rename declined

[edit]

I declined the requested rename of File:The World Is Yours album cover.jpg. The file is currently unused and The World Is Yours: The Anthology 1968-1976 does not exist. The file will be automatically deleted in about a week if this doesn't change, so renaming is not useful. Per WP:NFCC#7, fair use files must be in use. If an article for the album is created, I'll be happy to rename the file. Please be aware that the album must meet Wikipedia:Notability (music) to warrant an article. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 22:00, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Trees (band), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page David Costa. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:05, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Paix

[edit]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Paix you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Blz 2049 -- Blz 2049 (talk) 07:41, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Paix

[edit]

Hi Piano! Sorry about the delay on that GA review, but great job all around improving and expanding it. If you'd like, I can send you a copy of that Wire review, too—just email me and I'll reply with the review as an attachment (saves a step that way, because if I email you first, you'd have to reply then I'd have to reply again before I can send an attachment). —blz 2049 ➠ ❏ 19:35, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have to thank you again. Don't think I could've possibly had a better reviewer, especially for my first nomination. I still don't know how you found all those additional sources. I've also read some of the Good and Featured articles that you've written and they're definitely inspiring.
I'm very happy to see this article reach GA status. The reason I started editing it in the first place was because I felt that the album deserved to have at least a decent article for it. When I first got to it, the page had about two sentences and no album cover. I figured the least I could do was bring it up to the standard of other album articles, which again was hard due to its obscurity.
That being said, I'm also relieved that the review is over, because by the time it began I had already started stepping away from the Paix article to work on other pages. I stopped making edits to the article in February, and didn't nominate it for GA until late April (I had nominated it twice before in February, but I removed them both times because I wasn't quite confident enough in the article). Because of this, my edits during the review were done somewhat haphazardly, as I had to re-familiarize myself with the entire article. Plus, my infatuation with the album itself had died down by then (I don't think I've listened to it in months, however I may throw on "Roc alpin" and "Un jour... la mort" tonight to celebrate the occasion). Therefore, if there are any edits or additions, small or large, that you think would improve the article, please be my guest. I have absolutely no doubts that the quality of the article would only go up with your expertise, and I would still love for it to continue improving even after reaching GA status (during the review I almost half-joked that we should switch places, with you editing the article and me doing the review). For now I'm going to work on improving articles for more albums, songs, bands, and artists that deserve it.
Also, if I decide to take you up on your offer for that Wire review, that book I ordered finally arrived and I could send you a scan of the section on Paix... PianoUpMyNose (talk) 21:54, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Paix

[edit]

The article Paix you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Paix for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. DYK for Paix

[edit]

On 21 July 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Paix, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Catherine Ribeiro's 1972 album Paix contains a 25-minute-long song about meeting a female personification of death? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Paix. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Paix), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
