Taalmonument

Hallo Piet, en welkom by Wikipedia! Dankie vir die hulp by die vertaling van die inskrywings van die Taalmonument -- dit help altyd om 'n ander spreker se opinie te hoor.

Groete, Dewet 22:58, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)

PS: Weet jy van die Afrikaanse Wikipedia?

Machine Head / Chris Kontos

Well spotted on the dodgy link! Don't fancy writing an article on MH's Kontos to go with it, do you? ;) IainP (talk) 14:51, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

Dragon cleanup

Nice job cleaning up the Dragon (disambiguation) disambiguation page - looks much better now. Kuru talk 20:36, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks; i'm relieved that the heavy editing didn't upset! --Piet Delport 20:45, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Pagan's Mind album touch ups

Cheers for touching up all their album pages. They're some of the first I did, so I was probably copying bad/old wiki code when I plugged them up. Looking much better now, thanks. Dace59 12:58, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Your Excellent Posts -- uh eight years ago... On Rational Trigonometry.

I've just started reading Wilderberger's stuff. At first I thought he was just a crank, but after a few looks I think he is at least worth 40 hours of my time for his Algebraic Geometry course on YouTube, and I'll look at his rational trig while I'm doing it.

Anyway in the course of looking around I ran across the Wiki page on Rational Trig, and found that it started out with not one but three of those ignorant editorial interruptions, so I turned to the Talk page to bitch and whine. All the usual stuff: a number of people claiming that their own ignorance and stupidity constitute evidence in an argument they want to pick.

And you being sensible. So I thought I'd say Hi. And best wishes.

I'm David Lloyd-Jones.391 (It's a fairly common Welsh name: we hyphenate because 15% of us were peasants on land stolen by some Englishman names John, hence John's, a slave name, hence Jones...) Don't be a stranger: drop in, and tell me what you're up to in real life, other than being sensible on Wiki.

Cheers,

David Lloyd-Jones david.lloydjones@gmail.com David Lloyd-Jones (talk) 15:49, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for your well-wishes!
It's been a while, yeah, and I have not spent nearly as much time learning about rational trigonometry as I would like to. Wilderberger's work is still fascinating, though, and I'd love to work through all of his YouTube lectures at some point. --Piet Delport (talk) 09:42, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
