Thanks

Thanks for arranging the Music section from Tomb Raider. I think the Film section should also be refreshed. As about Ailein Duinn, I know I'm right, on youtube and TR forums is the most common topic regarding the Legend's main theme. I think it was a mistake to sample that folk song from Spectrasonics, because it is very popular already, and mixing something popular with another popular thing will make people very confused, like a good versus remix. They are good, but they are odd. Troels says on an interview that he studied about world culture before composing on TR [1], but he uses many wrong combinations in Legend's music. I know it's hard work for a single man to deal with the entire score. That's why I made the table, now posted on List of List of Tomb Raider media, for seeing how much music he scored comparing to the other games. One more thing about Ailein Duinn, there is a woman crying and singing for her husband dead on sea. Where is that dead husband in the game. Is Lara crying for her husband in the game, is someone else doing this? Anyway, strange...

Please see also:

  • Tomb Raider: Legend - I recently found and written on the article that all voice samples are from Spectrasonics.
  • Ailein duinn - I found on the Interner more and more compositions featuring the Gaelic folk song, and I think I made that section a mess, hope someone will deal with that in the future.

No problem, hopefully we can raise the rating to a B. Once that's done, i'll see about trying to raise it to a Good Article. I'll check out those other articles too. I've checked some of the other articles to see if any references could be pulled. This worked for one or two, but for more of them a suitable reference just isn't available. This is why I have removed up to 3 passages that have been tagged [citation needed] for about 2 years, and left a note. Phynicen "Chat" 14:19, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Edit was not vandalism

Could you explain why my edit constituted vandalism? It is a content dispute with a registered editor. One of us feels that the item needs to be included, the other feels that it shouldn't. Such a disagreement is never vandalism. 83.80.18.68 (talk) 15:48, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

To explain, your removal of the entire passage was indeed vandalism. The intent on removing the information should have been discussed at Wikipedia_talk:ITN first to reach a consensus. You made no mention of your intention to remove the information. If you look at the edit history, you will see your edit has been reverted once more Portal:Current events/2010 January 17 and the page protected. Happy Editing. So I'm being called a vandal because I don't know the entire procedure? That's it? Thank you very much... Yes, this should probably be discussed somewhere, but that applies to both sides. I should argue why I think it shouldn't be included, I agree, but so should the editors who think this should be included, particularly if this entry is contested. Btw, if you are talking about this edit, that was me editing from on another computer. I move around a lot, and I don't want to be accused of sockpuppetry. 83.80.18.68 (talk) 18:48, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
I have no intention of accusing you of sockpuppetry. Can I ask what you mean by "...but that applies to both sides."? The Death of Basu was indeed discussed prior to inclusion. You can check here: Wikipedia:In the news/Candidates (scroll down to Death of Jyoti Basu). The headline was approved and added (therefore you can see you cannot simply remove it without discussion). Hope this explains it better. Phynicen "Chat" 19:20, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Friendly notice of interest

Heya, as your improving Tomb Raider articles, this may be of interest to you: Recurring characters in the Tomb Raider game series.

It is in a pretty poor state at the moment, and is at Articles for Deletion, so it might want rescuing and moving to a better title. Hope this helps, --Taelus (talk) 10:40, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the note. I'll work on it later when i've got home from college. I didn't realise this had even been nominated... Phynicen "Chat" 10:54, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Phantasy Star universe

A user name User:Zhang He believes he can solve everything by reporting and i simply cannot make any edits. I keep removing the NPC section due to trivia, but he just doesn't understand. can you please talk to him for me??Bread Ninja (talk) 16:24, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the notice. I've made a comment on my opinion on what should be done on the talk page. Phynicen "Chat" 13:38, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

You really need to do more than just an opinion. this User believe he is right. adding a wiki as an external link despite going against WP:ELNO, and making a characters article (which is only a table with no refs).

I keep informing him, but will not listen and reverts my edits. he keeps threatening to report me, it's getting on my nerves but I'm trying my hardest not to insult him but he will not budge. Bread Ninja (talk) 18:51, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

The Mutual Fund Research Center

The Mutual Fund Research Center is a legitimate research center, registered with the United States. The leadership of the Research Center are noteworthy, professionals with nationwide credentials in their fields. This is not a promotional posting. I hope you will reconsider your comment and redirect as this is an organization worthy of inclusion on Wikipedia. Sunshine1021 (talk) 17:02, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Hello, i'm not sure why you're posting here about the deletion of the Mutual Fund Research Center as the result of the deletion discussion back in May 18, 2009 was to Keep the article, not delete it. Happy Editing. Phynicen "Chat" 19:41, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

Sir William Gee

My name is William Gee and Sir William Gee of Bishop Burton is an ancester of mine.

In your list of members of parliament of Kingston Upon Hull, you have him (or someone with his same name) listed as the second member in the mid-1630's. To my knowledge, Sir William died in 1611.

Do you happen to have any information as to whom this William Gee's parents were? If the person you refer to is, in fact, Sir William, then we will need to edit the dates of his service to Parliament since I'm sure he would have had much difficulty doing so after his death.

Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.107.73.4 (talk) 17:31, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Permission to use image

Hello Phynicen,

my name is Simon Dewey I work at the University of Hull. While looking for imagery for a conference the University is running next year on sustainable development I came across your image http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Humber_Brige_Sunset_Wideshot.JPG which would look great on the homepage.

Can I have your permission to use it for approximately 9 months? The University is a registered charity.

Kind regards Simon Dewey Web Manager The University of Hull — Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.237.85.248 (talk) 15:16, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
