Please see my reply at Wikipedia:Help desk#renaming a title. PrimeHunter (talk) 01:59, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

See my reply at Wikipedia:Help desk#renaming a title and read the pages I linked to there such as Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations. Your text was also against Wikipedia:Spam#Advertisements masquerading as articles. Wikipedia is not a place to post an advertisement for your organization. Another editor has now made a more appropriate article at Wills Eye Institute. Note also the point at Wikipedia:Verifiability#Self-published and questionable sources as sources on themselves about unduly self-serving material written by the subject itself. You cannot copy positive claims from the subjects website without independent reliable sources. If you are unable to write about the institute in a neutral encyclopedic way then you can make suggestions on Talk:Wills Eye Institute and use {{Request edit}}. Your recent edits

[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 12:25, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for your assistance and guidance regarding my Wills Eye Institute entries

[edit]

I sincerely appreciate the effort you've made on my behalf as I've attempted to build the WIlls Eye Wiki site. I had many problems, obviously, and unwittingly created content that violated several Wiki policies. I'll study the corrections that were generously made for me and try to be more careful in my future contstuctions.

Sincerest thanks to all of you who've assisted with my problems!

Thank you for uploading File:Wills eye exterior.jpg.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. (ESkog)(Talk) 15:46, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer be able to have them marked as minor by default. For more information on what a minor edit is, see WP:MINOR or feel to get in touch.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 22:37, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
