A tag has been placed on Perohanych, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Speedy deletion nomination of Hincks-Dellcrest Centre
[edit]A tag has been placed on Hincks-Dellcrest Centre requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. About Press Releases
[edit]You wrote on the above article's talk page:
This text is not copyright protected as it was taken from the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre press-release --Perohanych(talk) 09:14, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
This is incorrect. Press releases are copyright protected. Just because the instance issuing a press release authorizes its reproduction doesn't mean it renounces copyright.
Of course, you could argue that since reproduction is authorized, we can re-use the material on Wikipedia. This is unfortunately not the case, as any text placed on Wikipedia, except for clear and limited direct quotations marked as such are also open for edition, modification and removal by any editors. A company issuing a press release does not, unless explicitely stated otherwise, authorize any changes in their press release.
As such, this material, as is, is unsuited for Wikipedia. In order to build an article on Hincks-Dellcrest Centre, you can either start one in your own words without using the copy / paste function at all, or try to obtain permission from the Centre following the precise steps highlighted on WP:PERMISSION.
If you need any help, you can start a new section here and add {{helpme}} below it (note the curly brackets), and someone will be along shortly to assist you. Alternatively, you can also leave me a message on my talk page. Best, MLauba (talk) 09:31, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Political Risk Services
[edit]A tag has been placed on Political Risk Services, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. License tagging for File:Logo-Levit.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Logo-Levit.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:05, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

We're exploring new ways to explain why Wikipedia is so special and we’ve started a Wikipedia Stories Project, where we’re chronicling the inspiring stories of the Wikipedia community, especially editors and active contributors in the movement like you. I'll be traveling to Wikimania next month to collect stories for our 2011 Fundraiser. While there I'd love the chance to meet with you and hear your thoughts about Wikipedia. We’ll have a schedule of available times for you to sign up if you’re interested, but right now, we’d like to make the initial contact to gauge your interest. Nomination of Science and Technology Center in Ukraine for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Science and Technology Center in Ukraine is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Science and Technology Center in Ukraine until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Sehmeet singh (talk) 19:00, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Wikiotics Foundation
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Wikiotics Foundation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Rorshacma (talk) 20:31, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
The article Stella Hryniuk has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence of notability. Still no independent source, despite being tagged for sources for 16 months.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:06, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Logo-Levit.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Logo-Levit.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:06, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

The article Oleksiy Karpenko has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Unblock, due to this host or IP is not an open proxy
[edit]Perohanych (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Caught by an open proxy block but AFAIK this IP 176.104.1.162 is not an open proxy. Perohanych (talk) 12:07, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
Decline reason:
I have confirmed this is an open proxy. It's running services on ports 53, 80, 1723, 2000, 8000, and 8291. The IP address belongs to NETUNDER/undernet. It's possible you are using a VPN or tunnelling service, in which case you'll need to disconnect that in order to edit here. Yamla (talk) 12:38, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Speedy deletion nomination of ARTRAMUS
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on ARTRAMUS, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. The article Aeromeh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable company. Fails WP:GNG and WP:NCORP. No credible claim to notability.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 14:29, 22 October 2018 (UTC)

Request for unblocking
[edit]Perohanych (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Just give me a chance to carefully look through all my edits and delete all potential copyright violations fragments or change them. I did a lot to develop free knowledge in my country. Believe me, that this blocking is very painful for me and I will do all my best to respect copyright laws and rules. I am 58 years old but I am still able to learn and correct my behaviour. Perohanych (talk) 09:51, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
Decline reason:
In order to lift the block, we need to be certain that you understand how copyright works on Wikipedia. To allow the reviewing administrator to assess your understanding, please respond to the following questions in your next unblock appeal, explaining in your own words:
- What is copyright?
- How is Wikipedia licenced?
- Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia?
- Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?
- How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future?
Your answers will enable us to establish whether or not you should be unblocked. Yamla (talk) 11:33, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Copyright can be confusing, but you need to understand it to edit here. If you demonstrate that you understand copyright, you'll be unblocked. One way to do that is to explain your obligations with respect to copyright in your own words. You can do that by adding to (or rewriting) your current unblock request. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 11:09, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
- @NinjaRobotPirate: Thank you for your remark. A have a masters degree in law, so I'm quite aware of what is copyright and copyright violations. The problem with me was that in every post-USSR country there was a very free interpretation of copyright laws, especially regarding the concept of a "brief quotation". I do not think that there is a need to explain in my own words Wikipedia:Copyright violations and Wikipedia:Non-free content, but I carefully read them and I will adhere to them with all possible diligence. --Perohanych (talk) 11:51, 23 July 2019 (UTC)

- @Yamla: having master degree in law may help not only following copyright but also abusing it. Perohanych is famous for his copyright-laundry which makes photos free.--Anatoliy (Talk) 05:46, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
- @Yamla: This remark of Anatoliy does not apply to Wikipedia, and refers to my first steps in the Wikimedia Commons. However, in recent years, I have put a lot of effort into obtaining permissions from authors through the OTRS system and into educating photographers to upload their works to the Wikimedia Commons. --Perohanych (talk) 11:42, 24 July 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Oleksandr Kardakov
[edit]Hello Perohanych,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Oleksandr Kardakov for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

- He might be notable, but it doesn't help that the article resembles a CV more than an encyclopedia article. The biography and awards sections are particularly bad. Unsourced lists of achievements such as this should be avoided. Cordless Larry (talk) 18:15, 11 October 2019 (UTC)
- I get 265 Google results. Cordless Larry (talk) 18:17, 11 October 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Oleksandr Kardakov
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Oleksandr Kardakov requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://lb.ua/file/person/4146_kardakov_aleksandr_yurevich.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Cont--Perohanych (talk) 09:43, 12 October 2019 (UTC)est this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Cordless Larry (talk) 18:29, 11 October 2019 (UTC)
- I just had no time to place the template {{Translated}}, as I did not finished translation. The speedy deletion template appeared on 13 minutes after I saved the article with {{Edited}} template on it. Dear @Cordless Larry:, instead of helping me and putting {{Translated}} on discussion page, you decided to delete the article. --Perohanych (talk) 09:43, 12 October 2019 (UTC)
As you have resumed your copyright violations after your previous block for copyright, I have reinstated your indefinite block. Your continued violations of copyright place the entire project in jeopardy and you were previously given a second chance. I'm very disappointed. --Yamla (talk) 10:31, 12 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Yamla: It was not second, but the first chance. What should I do to get a second chance? --Perohanych (talk) 11:52, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
- Your first chance was prior to your initial block. Your second chance was after your first block. You are now requesting a third chance. I'm not opposed to that. All you need to do is request an unblock and indicate how you will adhere to copyright while copying content or translating content from another Wikipedia page. I, or another admin, may then lift your block. For the record, I know you mean well. You work hard on this project. However, your continued copyright issues cannot continue. --Yamla (talk) 12:01, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Yamla: Thanks for your prompt answer. I have a question. If I create an article by translation from the article in another language version, should I carefully examine if there are copyright violations in the initial version? --Perohanych (talk) 14:40, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
- I want to be clear, so I'll start by answering a question you didn't ask. Copying or translating content from another source is a copyright concern. If you are copying or translating content from another Wikipedia page (or another Wikipedia project), that's perfectly fine so long as you attribute the source. WP:COPYRIGHT has more details. Now, to answer the question you actually asked. You should be careful here. However, if you are copying content from another Wikipedia source (perhaps, from a different language version), you can safely assume there are no copyright concerns and you are explicitly permitted to do so, provided you properly attribute your copy/translation. For example, you copy content from, say, the Greek version of Wikipedia. You need to attribute your copy, noting that you took the content from the Greek version. If we later discover that the Greek version of the article committed a copyright violation (and assuming it wasn't you who committed the copyright violation), we wouldn't hold that against you. You acted in good faith. --Yamla (talk) 14:48, 15 October 2019 (UTC)

I have lifted your block, as you have worked hard to understand what you did wrong. Please be careful, though! If anything I said above isn't totally clear to you, please ask additional questions before editing further. I welcome you back and look forward to many more constructive contributions from you. --Yamla (talk) 14:49, 15 October 2019 (UTC)

You emailed me questions about uk.wikipedia. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the Ukrainian Wikipedia project. What you say sounds reasonable to me, but each project (for example, en.wikipedia or uk.wikipedia) has separate sets of rules and requirements. Your best bet is to discuss with a knowledgeable admin there, ideally one who knows about copyright. :) --Yamla (talk) 16:37, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you. I will do that. --Perohanych (talk) 16:44, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
Sources needed for Days of the Year pages
[edit]You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages now require direct sources for additions. For details see the content guideline, the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide or the edit notice on any DOY page. Please do not add new additions to these pages without direct sources as the burden to provide them is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Assumed names
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:Assumed names requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
Re:Oleksandr Kardakov
[edit]I will do so one one condition: you allow me to post the article at the Copyright Cleanup Unit first. If the CCU people say its clean, I'll move it to your userspace and you can work on it in peace. Will that be acceptable to you? TomStar81 (Talk) 07:01, 8 November 2019 (UTC)
- @TomStar81:, great, this is totally acceptable to me! Can you also tell the CCU people to read Requests for undeletion#Oleksandr Kardakov. I clearly explaned that it was me, who created an article about this person in Ukrainian Wikipedia in 2012, Then it was lb.ua who violated my rights in 2018 — they republished content of the Ukrainian Wikipedia article on their website without proper attribution. Then in 2019 I was unfairly and wrongfully accused of copyright infringement of lb.ua. --Perohanych (talk) 08:13, 8 November 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Speedy deletion nomination of Charles Gwynn Senior
[edit]Hello Perohanych,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Charles Gwynn Senior for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Speedy deletion nomination of National handwriting day
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on National handwriting day requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.) that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Nikolai Udianskyi
[edit]Hello Perohanych. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Nikolai Udianskyi, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Perohanych. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Perohanych|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Кронас (talk) 16:27, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Dear Кронас thank you. Yes, you are mistaken. The only compensation I receive is a the joy of letting the world know about prominent Ukrainians. --Perohanych (talk) 17:26, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
