Welcome!

Hello, Sixpoint Partners, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Sixpoint Partners, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard. Thank you.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! KnightLago (talk) 02:43, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

The article Sixpoint Partners has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No assertion of notability. No sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. KnightLago (talk) 02:43, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, please see how to appeal a block. TNXMan 02:46, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Hello. I am slightly freaking out. I have been working on a Test Page for months and have done a ton of work and now, I assume since I am blocked, I cannot access this page. This page was not to be an advertisement at all. I was working on a robust, high referenced page for Mr. Seth Siegel. I am completely willing to create an appropriate user name. Is there anyway you can help me recover the Test page for Seth Siegel? I am not sure where it is now. It used to show up every time I accessed My contributions. Please, please help me! Sincerely, (redacted)

Decline reason:

Not a request for unblocking. If you'd like to continue editing Wikipedia, remember that you can't edit articles for subjects with which you are associated (such as an employer or client) - this is a Conflict of Interest. Second, you can't edit on behalf of such a company, as your username would suggest - this is why you were blocked, and why you need to change your username. Finally, if unblocked, would you be willing to edit topics that do not involve people or companies with which you are associated? If you'd like to appeal this block, follow the instructions above and request a new username. See also my note below. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 20:59, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I redacted your personal information, as this website is a very high-traffic site - your personal information is not safe when posted for the world to see. You do have your e-mail on file with your account, however - so I've taken the liberty to e-mail you a copy of the deleted test page you reference above. Remember, if you are unblocked, that you can't repost it without discussion, as the text you had seemed to be promotional and non-neutral in tone. Best, UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 21:01, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Allowing username change to penelope1114  (talk · contribs). Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking.

Request handled by: JohnCD (talk)

Unblocking administrator: Please check for active autoblocks on this user after accepting the unblock request.

Wikipedia is extremely sensitive to the danger of being used for promotion, and we find that, however impartial they try to be, people editing on behalf of themselves or their employers find it hard to maintain the neutral point of view which is one of our essential policies. Please read these guidelines:
If you set up an individual account, are you willing to stay within those restrictions when editing about any subject with which you have a connection? JohnCD (talk) 17:03, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
I have reviewed the CIO and Best Practices pages. I agree to abide by those restrictions in the future. I will divulge any reason for editing a page where I have a potential CIO on the cooresponding Talk page and I will give my reason for editing that page. Please let me know if I can be unblocked. 18:48, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Very well. Please note in particular that you may not directly post articles about Six Point Partners or any of its people - you must do that through WP:Articles for creation, disclosing your interest. JohnCD (talk) 10:40, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
I really appreciate this! I put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username and I will read up on how to edit before making any other changes. I will disclouse any possible CIOs or questions on the Talk pages associated with any pages I edit. I want to get this right! Thank you for the second chance!--Penelope1114 (talk) 14:42, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Vringo, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages NTP and RIM (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
