Space Quest
[edit]Thanks for the warning about spelling, however you'll notice that the edit was from 5 days ago and has already been reverted and I've already spoken to someone about it. Please be more careful before issuing outdated warnings. Jibbles | Talk 08:59, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
WOW
[edit]I recommend you use the history button and see who actually added that link. I first corrected the grammer for it, and then went to the site to see if it was accurate. It wasn't correct and I went back to delete it but you beat me to it. I would much appreciate a correction to my user Talk Page. Bignole 17:31, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
Elvis Presley - Edits
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your message. My apologies for editing the Presley page akin to a vandal. I am concerned, however, that it's basically been hijacked by a fringe agenda pushed by one user and one user only. If you see the discussion section of the page you can see that it is on its 14th itiration which suggests that this issue simply won't go away. While I'll refrain from editing as much as possible the entire experience is souring my view on Wikipedia which is a shame as it is an otherwise brilliant resource. --Lochdale 22:27, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
You are absolutely right in that I should follow the proper protocols. I just am frustrated as I believe I'm been asked to prove a negative. The amusing thing is that I am not even much of a fan of Presley but I just don't think he deserves an article like that nor does such a fringe article do anything but hurt the reputation of Wikipedia. I'm new to Wikipedia so I'm going to go look up mediation!--Lochdale 22:50, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
While this was written in jest it does go to the genuine credibility issue Wikipedia will have if standards are not maintained. --Lochdale 20:56, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for the note regarding user Onefortyone's suspension. I am a little bit at a loss, however, as to how to respond. In one sense I am annoyed at some of his assertions against me but on the other hand I am thinking it's not worth responding. Further, how should I go about editing the article or should I just leave it alone entirely? Thanks for all your help. --Lochdale 19:54, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
[edit]SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 11:36, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Barbossa
[edit]This is regarding the edit in the Dead Man's Chest article.
Barbossa is shot by Jack Sparrow before Will Turner actually drops the coins into the chest. Barbossa says that he "feels", and yes, he drops to the ground, PRESUMED dead. This is why he returns in the second film. Barbossa was simply shot BEFORE the curse was actually lifted. Please watch the first film again at that point.
Louiemantia 14:09, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
If he is "dead", you must still realize that the coins were dropped AFTER Barbossa was shot, so the edits I did made were correct. I am not saying he didn't die, I'm not saying he did either. I'm stating the facts. He was shot before the curse was lifted. Those are the changes I made. Factual.

On Vandal Tags
[edit]Sorry for not putting warning tags on users more. I do it mostly to repeat offenders, and at that point normally put the "this is the only warning you recieve" tag up there. That, and it seems that the few I have gone to tag with warnings have been already done. Again, my apologies if this has caused undue stress, just trying to live up to some of the better reverters out there. Galactor213 19:06, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Elvisstamp.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Elvisstamp.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ilse@ 16:44, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Image:Elvisstamp.jpg listed for deletion
[edit]An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Elvisstamp.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
[edit]Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:54, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for November 12
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
- Mark Crowe (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver)
- added links pointing to Ken Williams and Earthsiege

The article Adventure Classic Gaming has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Article does not meet WP:GNG or WP:WEBCRIT. The website has not been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the site itself.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Domeditrix (talk) 11:47, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
