S Mountain

[edit]

Pavtron, please site a geographic source showing that this mountain is named "S" mountian. As far as I know this mountain is part of North Mountain, and is not it's own actual geographic reference. Please provide a source for this, otherwise I will have to nominate for deletion as non-notable. CASCADIAHowl/Trail 22:08, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Arizona Republic Source

[edit]

Pavtron, your reference "S" Mountain Inspires Patriotism The Arizona Republic 11/2/2001 needs to go to a specific article, and not a search results page. If you would like to use multiple articles found via the search results, you can add them as separate references. Also, use of inline references (see the help page about doing this) is greatly helpful. Thanks. CASCADIAHowl/Trail 21:53, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Npthalene.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Npthalene.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:08, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Duplicate images uploaded

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Chuysmb2.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Chuys m b 2.JPG. The copy called Image:Chuys m b 2.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 19:00, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Joe Cavaleri

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Joe Cavaleri, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. -- Ben 14:22, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Anemostat

[edit]

Anemostat, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Anemostat satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anemostat and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Anemostat during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Hammer1980·talk 16:00, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In or near South Bend? Need some photos from the Snite Museum

[edit]

Dear Pavtron:

I am working on the Mesoamerican ballgame article and I am looking for a few good photos of ballplayer figurines. The Snite Museum on the campus of the University of Notre Dame has a nice collection of these figurines and so I am canvassing editors who might be in the area to see if they could snap some photos for me. Hence the question: Are you still in the South Bend area and would you be interested in heading over to the museum to take some photos??

Let me know, and thanks for your time, Madman (talk) 15:13, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Still at ND?? Fantastic!! Are you leaving for the holidays?? I am most in need of photos of ballplayer figurines but the museum apparently has quite a collection of other Mesoamerican artifacts.
What I would suggest, please sir, is that you set your camera to the finest (highest-pixel) setting and take a couple of shots of just about any ballplayer figurine, particularly the female ones. If you could also shoot the label/description, that would be great as well.
There are also a couple of other interesting items on their website:
I'm thinking that you could perhaps load them onto my Flickr account, from whence I could download them, sort them, upload them onto Wikipedia, label and catalogue them, etc. If this is too convoluted, I might be able to make the trip myself over the holidays -- I'm about 3 hours away.
Let me know, and thanks, Madman (talk) 02:19, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Long story short, I made the trip myself today. Thanks for the offer. If I find I'm missing something, I'll write you back. Madman (talk) 04:33, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated John Emil Pavlik, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/John Emil Pavlik. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

A tag has been placed on Popping bobas, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please see the page to see the reasons. If the page has since been deleted, you can ask me the reasons by leaving a message on my user talk page.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. UnbelievableError (talk) 03:19, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Notre Dame Invite

[edit]

Hey! I noticed you are a Notre Dame alumnus, hence I wanted to invite you to join our project.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Cochise Hall has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails to meet WP:N, no non-Primary references, only dormitory building on the campus to have its own page, etc

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Football coach (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
