Lintbells

[edit]

Hi Patrickkaned. I have just moved your article on Lintbells back to User:Patrickkaned/Lintbells in lieu of speedy deleting it. Right now it could easily be deleted as unambiguous advertising or promotion or as having no indication of importance. Since you had just moved it from your userspace, I thought you might prefer I move it back so you can work on it. Without a neutral tone and some reliable, independent references, it should not be moved to the mainspace. GorillaWarfare (talk) 18:19, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. GorillaWarfare (talk) 18:24, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft articles

[edit]

Please do not continue trying to move your draft articles to the mainspace yourself. You've already accidentally created another user's page and a template, neither one of which should contain article content. Please use the articles for creation process in the future. Your submission at Articles for creation

[edit]
Lintbells, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.
The article has been assessed as Start-Class, which is recorded on the article's talk page. You may like to take a look at the grading scheme to see how you can improve the article.

You are more than welcome to continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. Note that because you are a logged-in user, you can create articles yourself, and don't have to post a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for Creation if you prefer.

Thank you for helping improve Wikipedia!

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lintbells, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Supplements (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Lintbells, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ahunt (talk) 12:53, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Lintbells

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for taking the time to contribute.

I'm a bot designed by another Wikipedia editor, and I'm here to help you with our deletion process. I noticed that while working on an article recently, you removed a speedy deletion template that tagged it for deletion. Don't get discouraged! Deletion discussions happen on Wikipedia all the time.

If you don't want the article to get deleted, please click here.

The link will take you to the talk page, where you can explain why the article should be kept. If you have any questions about this or need help with editing, you can ask at the Help desk.

We really hope you'll stick around to help make Wikipedia better! Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 17:14, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lintbells requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Randykitty (talk) 17:31, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As the third admin to deal with this, I have protected against re-creation for a while. Please do not add again unless you have good references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Promotion of business

[edit]

Please do not use Wikipedia to promote businesses. Wikipedia is not the Yellow pages. If you want to list a company for potential customers to find, please consider alternative outlets. Thank you. DGG ( talk ) 18:30, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest warning

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Patrickkaned. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Lintbells, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Ahunt (talk) 13:57, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop creating and recreating this article over and over again. It is fairly obvious that you have a connection to the company and are here to promote the company on Wikipedia. You have obviously attracted considerable attention for spamming already and the four deletions of the article so far discredit both your efforts and the company itself. If you keep doing this you will be blocked from editing. - Ahunt (talk) 14:00, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I share an IP address with Seektheinfinite. I had a blocked announcement telling me I was a sockpuppet, but we are best friends who live and work together and share each others computers, therefore we sometimes share an IP address. We are two different people and were both surprised at the blockage! It says on my profile that I am associated with Morning277 - I don't even know who they are. I haven't even met them. I am not associated with anybody else on this site, it just so happens that my best friend, Seektheinifite, and I have a business together and thus use the same IP address - and sometimes computers - to work from.

Decline reason:

SPI, behviour, and WP:MEAT all come into play - there's no reason to suggest that this block is invalid based on the above (✉→BWilkins←✎) 11:20, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
