Hi. I see you have submitted this draft for review through articles for creation. I have to say, although I declined to speedy delete that draft last week, it will not be accepted by AFC in its current state. It is NOT ready. I see you've also had another draft declined.
The main problem, both with the other draft AFC declined and with this one, is you are not properly citing your sources. A good rule of thumb is that every fact in a Wikipedia article should have a citation to a reliable source. Most of the time, the citations use footnotes that go in a reference section, but some people prefer parenthetical references, and those are ok. Please take a look at referencing for beginners to learn how to do it.
In addition to the lack of sourcing, Draft:Acharya Vishveshwar, Siddhant Shiromani also falls into a few other traps common to first-time Wikipedia writers. It is excessively detailed (why is it important that the reader know that 8 year old Vishveshwar ate a breakfast of "lentils roti and vegetables" around 9 a.m. before beginning his day's schooling?), it uses excessively flattering language to describe the subjects' accomplishments (known in Wikipedia as peacock words), and it is generally difficult to read and follow.
I have tried to help with formatting; proper formatting helps a reader follow the article, but improper formatting is not a deal breaker for AFC as it is easy for experienced editors to fix. However, what I cannot fix is the content and referencing issues. I do not know about Vishveshwar, I do not have books about him, I can see on the internet where there are books and articles about him, much of which is in a language I do not know. I would like to help you with these articles, but you will need to supply the content and tell me where what information comes from.
Let me know what questions you have and how I can help you. You can do that by replying here, on your talk page. I'll be watching it. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 19:54, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
Thank you so much for your helpful feedback. The reason i was sharing about his daily routine was to show what a simple and austere life he lived. I can delete those details and attempt to make it crisp and objective. Can i Please have a biography template. If i write it as an objective biography . Will work on it this weekend and share with you again here. So he is a a great Hindi and Sanskrit scholar how do i make him more appealing. Not all his publishers are online, maybe you can also help and guide me as to how i can add more reliability as required by Wiki editors. Also i was trying to create another article on Gurukul Vrindavan, whihc also got denied for lack of reliable sources, how do i fix that. lastly why does the article read Draft Acharya Vishwveshwar and not just Acharya Vishveshwar? Thanks again for your help
- I'm glad my feedback was helpful. Crisp and objective is definitely the way you want to go.
- Regarding a biography template; I don't think we have a template as such. The Manual of Style has a section on biographies, not all of which will apply to every article, but you should probably at least look at the part on the lead section and order of events part, and skim the rest. There's also a simplified list of dos and don'ts for biographies. Wikiproject Biography also has some helpful advice on their pages. However, probably the best way to get feel for how the material should be presented is to read some Featured articles and Good articles that are biographies, such as Mahatma Gandhi, Barthélemy Boganda, Jomo Kenyatta, or John Calvin.
- You mentioned that not all his publishers are online - that is ok. Things don't have to be online. Often, the best sources for articles aren't online - its just that online sources are easy, but that doesn't make them good. Making sure the article cites reliable sources means that for every (or nearly every) fact in the article, you tell the reader where you learned that fact, and give them enough information that it is theoretically possible for them to look at the same source you looked at and verify that it does say what you say it says. So, if you have a book, and the book is old and not online, you put information like the author's name, the title of the book, the year it was published, the publisher's name, and the page number. Like this: Doe, John (1972). Title of Hypothetical Book. London: Hypothetical Publishing House. p. 54.. You can do the same for newspaper articles, magazine articles, scholarly journals, etc. Also, reliable sources are sources that talk about him, not books written by him. It seems he has written several books, and you do want to discuss those in the article as it's part of what makes him important, but they are not sources about him, which is what you need.
- Lastly, it's at Draft: Acharya Vishwveshwar instead of just Acharya Vishwveshwar because it's still a draft; it's not yet up to snuff to be accepted into the encyclopedia. Once most of the issues we're talking about are fixed, it can be moved out of draft space. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 21:04, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
