Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 13:37, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for the quick response MrOllie. How would one insert a reference or example without it being considered using WIKI as a "soapbox"? Thank you Palmbeech (talk) 14:04, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- It is usually better not to insert examples, especially web sites, because spammers will inevitably come along and insert their own site and make an ever growing list. More specific to this case, it will help a lot to avoid mentioning sites that we've just had WP:COI problems with, as documented here. - MrOllie (talk) 14:09, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
