Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express
[edit]Hi. I had added the wikilink Hotel Pera Palace under the See also section, thinking it is an enrichment for the readers of this article. You had removed it. May I ask what was wrong? Thanks. CeeGee (talk) 08:02, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Thriller 25 discs cropped.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Thriller 25 discs cropped.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:11, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Michael Jackson
[edit]Hi ive been working very hard on the michael jackson article, ive trimed it down to just over 100,000 bytes (it was 125,000 at 1 point), sourced all citation tags, sorted all pov tags, merged and created new articles. I think its worthy of a FA soon and i want to nominate it. Firstly though i think the intro needs a complete re write and the citations need formatting. Would you help with this. Let me know. Yours Realist2 (talk) 15:02, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Hey
[edit]Hey, as you are a member of the Michael Jackson wikiproject I have some very important news for you. I will be nominating the Michael Jackson article for FA shortly and the Thriller album article is currently on the nomination list for GA. We need your help with both articles....
The Michael Jackson artice is currently on a peer review (which you can see on the articles talk page). It also really needs its references formatted correctly.
The Thriller album is going to be reviewed in the next couple of DAYS its sources need formatting.
These are the most important articles on michael jackson here at wiki, 2008 has been an excellent year for michael jackson, lets make it a good year for him here at wikipedia too. If these articles get a GA or FA statues it could make news outside of the wiki world. What a great way to celebrate the 25th year of MJ being the KING OF POP.
Please help with the sources of both these articles and in any other way you can. If you know any other people at wiki that might want to get involved let them know. Realist2 (talk) 22:27, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Michael Jackson's Cry
[edit]Hi there! Back in 2007, you added the Michael Jackson single "Cry" to the Number Ones article under the section "Number ones that were not included." You said that it was #1 in both Poland and Moldova. Can you please tell me where you received that information? I have been searching high and low for a source, but I have come up empty-handed, and I would really like some confirmation. Thanks! --From Andoria with Love (talk) 00:23, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Dear WikiProject Video games member,
You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.
The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.
All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:
- Editing video game-related pages in the Article namespace
- Participating in video game-related discussions in the Project namespace (WT:VG, WP:AfD, WP:GAN, etc.)
Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is 2 Bad. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2 Bad. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:04, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
Dear Paaerduag,
You are receiving this message because either [[Category:WikiProject Video games members]] or {{User WPVG}}

The member list is meant to provide a clearer picture of active membership. It is recommended that you update your status if you plan to regularly:

Members listed in the "Unknown" section will be removed from the membership list and category at the end of January 2010. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Speedy deletion nomination of P.Y.T.
[edit]A tag has been placed on P.Y.T. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Karanacs (talk) 17:33, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Hello, thanks for the message. Sorry, I hope you didn't take it the wrong way, I suppose the point I was making is that although it's a good article, of the video game articles that appear at the TFA nomination page (which is quite a large number - almost 1 in 4, probably), it perhaps isn't as in depth as some of the more recent game FAs that I've seen such as Halo 3. I appreciate it's probably about a rather more obscure title than that, and thus has fewer sources available. Indeed, there's nothing really wrong with it, although I suppose it would perhaps be nice to have a little more about things like the graphics, which the reception section appears to criticise but does not discuss elsewhere in the article (unless I missed it). Also, perhaps a little more discussion about how Jules Verne influenced it would be nice. I suspect that information probably isn't widely available for this title without it being original research though, so it's a bit mean to ask for it. Also, I suspect that if it went to FAC today, they might say there are too many fairuse images, although as it's already an FA I wouldn't worry about that. I suppose, really, I was probably a bit mean with my "weak oppose", but it's mainly due to seeing quite a lot of video game and television episode nominations, and sortof wanting to see a little more variety in TFAs. "Least points" on Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests
[edit]Hi Paaerduag,
Based on your edit summary at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests, I think you may be confusing points with number of supports. Both Voyage: Inspired by Jules Verne and German women's national football team have two points (the numbers in the "points" column in the summary chart, not the number in the "supports" column). Two of the other nominated articles currently on the page also have 2 points, so four articles are currently tied for the least number of points. The first tie breaker for next to be replaced is highest percentage of opposes, and Voyage: Inspired by Jules Verne currently has the highest percentage of opposes (50%, while the other three tied articles have 0%). Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
