Talkback

Hello, PM800. You have new messages at Template:Did you know nominations/Gombloh.
Message added 14:18, 27 October 2011 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

I've expanded the article (I had planned to start after nominating, but got distracted) and would like a bit of feedback on the addition. Only one source, but 1000 chars.

 Crisco 1492 (talk) 14:18, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

I made the changes requested to the article and look forward to your review.--SKATER Is Back 00:06, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

Another Question for you, do all approved DYK submissions make it to the main page? Also, now that it's approved is their anything else I need to do?--SKATER Is Back 05:01, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

Review

Me again, I reviewed Rube Degoff, as I just learned that I need to review in order for my page to have a chance to be on the main page...How do I modify the template to show I reviewed an article?--SKATER Is Back 01:09, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

DYK nomination of Bill Stumpf (baseball)

Hello! Your submission of Bill Stumpf (baseball) at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Rlendog (talk) 03:22, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

The issue is a pretty simple one, and I suggested an alt hook instead. Basically, I am not sure that the list in B-R necessarily reflects the official league batting champion requirements, and if it doesn't conform to the leagues official leadership requirements, then it doesn't confirm that there was no one who batted higher than .405 with less than 50 at bats. As an aside, you may want to consider removing the sentence in the article about Stumpf not playing in 1918; I suspect that the lack of a line in B-R is as likely to mean that they haven't loaded the information as that Stumpf didn't play. Hello, PM800, and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia!

I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you worked on, Tom Savage (American football), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

It helps to explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the Help Desk. Thanks again for contributing! TM 14:39, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Nemo Gaines

PM800, you're a baseball guy, and as such can you please review the stub I made for Nemo Gaines about a week ago? He is the only baseball player from Navy to have played in the bigs according to baseball-reference.com. I wanted to create Category:Navy Midshipmen baseball players so I needed to make his stub. I didn't include anything about his minor league career (if he had one). When you get the chance please make sure I did it correctly, it's my first foray into a baseball biography. Hi PM800,

Back in December, you got either an AfD or PROD notification, which was part of the template testing project's experiments. If you could go here and leave us some feedback about what you think about the new versions of the templates we tested (there are links to the templates), that would be very useful. (You can also email me at mpinchuk@wikimedia.org if you want.) Thanks! Maryana (WMF) (talk) 23:48, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

An invitation for you!

Hello, PM800/Archive 6. Please accept this invitation to join WikiProject Baseball's Hall of Fame task force. We are dedicated to improving articles relating to baseball Halls of Fame around the world, including their inductees. Happy editing! – Muboshgu (talk) 01:18, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

The article TheWineKone has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable, tagged for over a year

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
