Speedy deletion nomination of User:Owlypia/Sample page
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Owlypia/Sample page, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 22:29, 21 October 2022 (UTC)

- We apologize for any inconvenience that we might have caused with our article about Owlypia.
- Unfortunately, we weren't careful enough with our writing and we wrote the article in a way that is not aligned with Wikipedia guidelines. We understand your point of view and we applaud you for trying your best to protect Wikipedia from unwanted content and advertisement.
- This was our first ever attempt to write a Wikipedia article and we are aware that we should have been more careful during the writing process and that we should have followed the guidelines.
- Once again, we sincerely apologize and would be thankful if you could unblock our account and give us a chance to make the corrections to the article and publish it according to your guidelines.
- Our team will work diligently on fixing mistakes and following your guidelines. We don't want to cause any issues for either you or your brand, therefore we would like to have a chance to make amendments.
- Thank you so much for teaching us a valuable lesson about the proper way of conduct. Thank you for listening to us and reading this plea.
- We wish you all the best and we are looking forward to your response. Owlypia (talk) 07:53, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
- When you say "we", does that mean that more than one person has access to this account? --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:41, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
- Apologies for the misunderstanding. I am the only person that has access to this page and the only one that is able to do any sort of corrections on the page itself. When I said „we“ I meant that I was trying to seek advice from my friends and coworkers on how I may do this properly. As a matter of fact, I wish I had talked sooner to someone who has some insight into how Wikipedia works, therefore I wouldn't have made this mistake. I would appreciate it if you could give me a chance to fix the mistake. Owlypia (talk) 07:51, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
- If you want to request an unblock, please follow the instructions given in the block notice above. Otherwise, Wikipedia administrators will never notice your request. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 21:28, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
