Ovedc (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Hello! I am sorry to bother you, but I think that the block is no longer necessary because:
1) I fully understand what I was blocked for - using mistakenly two accounts (Ovedc and ויקימנטור). It was my mistake for not knowing the specific law here (Other then He-Wiki). This was not done for abusively use, as I was declared it on HE-Wiki. I didn't do any of the mentioned in Wikipedia:Sock puppetry#Inappropriate uses of alternative accounts.
2) I will not do it again, as you can un-block my main user (Ovedc) and keep the other block. I will never edit with other username again.
3) I will make productive contributions instead, as the last 11 years on the HE-wiki and here. I have 150,000 contributing edits on Wikipedia, look here please. I was never blocked before, and I was Admin in HE-Wiki for 5 years (Total sysop 10,587)!
Thank you Ovedc (talk) 14:15, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
Accept reason:
I'm unblocking your account with the conditions that from now on you stick to 1 account and you carefully read WP:PAID and adhere to its requirements. PhilKnight (talk) 16:31, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
@Yunshui:- would you object to an unblock? PhilKnight (talk) 15:10, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- @PhilKnight: See my talkpage. Sysops who decide they'd rather use their position on Wikipedia to make money leave a bad taste in my mouth, but if you wish to lift the block, I won't object. I would point out that discussions with Icewhiz seem to indicate that, on he-wiki at least, these two accounts are claiming to be separate individuals in direct opposition to the claims made above that there is only one individual at the keyboard (Icewhiz, please feel free to correct me if I've misunderstood; I don't have any presence on he-wiki so I don't know what's gone down there); you may or may not want to get to the bottom of that discrepancy before unblocking. Up to you. Yunshui 雲水 15:20, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- Hi! As I said, I am the person holding both users-names here and in He-Wiki, with full disclosed of that in He-Wiki, and it is allowed in the He-wiki. This is why I was mistakenly did it also here, not knowing it is not allowed. I was not making this in intention to do any harm.Ovedc (talk) 15:53, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry for causing the misunderstanding - I thought they were separate on hewiki - but I was mistaken (purely a slip of my mind) - ויקימנטור is declared on hewiki as an alternate account of Ovedc (see hewiki user page) used for paid editing. I do know that Ovedc is in good standing on hewiki - he was a long time sysop, and resigned the bit when he started paid editing, and is still a valued member of the community there. On enwiki ויקימנטור did disclose he was doing paid editing - but they should've disclosed better.Icewhiz (talk) 16:18, 4 February 2019 (UTC)

COI, PAID, and TRANSLATE
Hi Ovedc. Now that you've apparently got the multiple accounts thing sorted out, you probably should take a look at WP:PSCOI, WP:PAID and WP:TRANSLATE. Alternative accounts are allowed as explained in WP:MULTIPLE, but you need to be upfront about them, especially when your using one account to create drafts in your sandbox and another account to then move the draft to the article namespace. If you're making paid contributions with one account, then you're going to also be seen as making paid contributions if you use a different account to edit the same subject matter or move froma draft created by one of the accounts to anthe article namespace. So, you should follow WP:COI#How to disclose a COI for this account as well with respect to Amnon Pazy. Paid editing and COI editing aren't expressly prohibited by Wikipedia, but they need to be done in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines. Neither you nor anyone else connected to Pazy has any claim of ownership over the content in the Wikipedia article about him, and anyone who has a COI with respect to him should follow WP:COIADVICE and WP:PSCOI#Steps for engagement. This means that anything other than a WP:MINOR edit to the article should be proposed on the article's talk page as explained in WP:ER. COI editors and PAID editors are given a bit of leeway when it comes to working on drafts and will generally be left alone unless someone feels there's a serious issue which needs quick action; once the draft, however, becomes an article, COI and PAID editors are pretty much expected to not directly edit it at all.
Translating articles from a non-English Wikipedia onto English Wikipedia is allowed, but you need to be aware that proper attribution of the source article is required; otherwise, the translated content can be seen as a WP:COPYVIO and the translated content might be removed or the article deleted altogether. An easy way to provide this attribution is to add Template:Translated page to article's talk page. You can find out more about this in WP:TFOLWP.
Not all Wikipedia policies and guidelines are the same for each different language Wikipedia, and overall the ones for English Wikipedia tend to be stricter and more rigorously applied than perhaps is the case for other Wikipedias such as Hebrew Wikipedia. So, just because there's an article on Hebrew Wikipedia, that doesn't automatically mean there should be a corresponding article on English Wikipedia. You're going to still need to establish that the subject satisfies WP:N or at least one of the various genre specific notability guidelines. The same goes for any sources cited in the article. You may use non-English sources per WP:NONENGLISH, but these are going to have to be ones that meet WP:RS. You seem to have cited lots of documents that you've uploaded to Commons. As pointed out by Bellezzasolo at User talk:ויקימנטור#A page you started (Amnon Pazy) has been reviewed!, this isn't really a good thing; so, it would be better to simply cite the source itself as explained in WP:CITEHOW. Reliable sources only need to be WP:PUBLISHED and able to be accessed if necessary; they don't need to be online. You can cite a source you've read but which is not available online as explained in WP:SAYWHERE as long as it's considered to be a reliable source. You also need to be careful using primary sources such as letters and published documents and should try to find and cite secondary sources whenever possible.
Finally, if you're going to create any more articles per PAID, you should really submit the drafts for review via WP:AFC and not move them to the article namespace yourself. You should also do so in the draft namespace and not your userspace. This will allow an AfC reviewer unconnected to the subject to assess the draft. If the draft is approved, the AfC will move it to the mainspace and handle all of the related clean up; if the draft is declined, the AfC reviewer will make suggestions on what to do next. Having a draft declined is not uncommon and there is no limit on how many times a draft can be submitted for review as long as you just don't keep submitting the same declined version over and over again.
If you have any specific questions about any of the above, you can ask them below, at one of the various Wikipedia noticeboards or maybe even on a the talk page of a relevant WikiProject. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:05, 5 February 2019 (UTC); [Note: Post copyedited by Marchjuly to correct some silly mistakes; additions are underlined and removals are stricken out. -- 12:57, 5 February 2019 (UTC)]
- Thank you, Marchjuly! WOW - I now have a lot of homework... I will start in the order you wrote! I appreciate your help! Many thanks for your patience and time! Ovedc (talk) 06:51, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
- Ovedc - I dropped a line on ויקימנטור just prior to it being blocked (and then sent an e-mail to the blocking admin stating I believed you were trying to act in good faith) - if you have questions I am willing to answer to the best of my limited ability (here or on the Hebrew Wiki if you prefer Hebrew). Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "ויקימנטור". The reason given for ויקימנטור's block is: "Sock puppetry".</nowiki>
Accept reason:
The autoblock seems to have expired and I changed the settings of it to not create an autoblock that would impact this account as there don't appear to be any others. TonyBallioni (talk) 04:06, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
I see there is clear reason to believe you are related to that account. As such, it was probably inappropriate for me to lift the autoblock here. Note that blocks apply to people, not just individual accounts. Assuming Icewhiz is correct and ויקימנטור is indeed your account, you are not permitted to edit while that account remains blocked. --Yamla (talk) 11:06, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
- Uggh, and now I'm going to follow up on THAT statement. Give me a moment, haven't had enough coffee yet. --Yamla (talk) 11:08, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
- Right. That other account was blocked as a sockpuppet of this account. But I believe you've abandoned that account and will only be editing under this account. As such, it was fine for me to lift the autoblock, but please don't log in to ויקימנטור any more. You are welcome to continue editing here, provided you don't create any more sockpuppet accounts and provided you adhere to WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. And if I'm still deeply confused, I'll go drink a second cup of coffee and hope someone else corrects me. --Yamla (talk) 11:10, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
- Hi, Yamla! Sorry for the inconvenient! You are right: this user will be my only user, I was blocked at the other, which I was maintained by mistake. Thanks! Ovedc (talk) 11:29, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
Why am I still autoblocked? - Please see above

- Perhaps you are logged into hewiki with ויקימנטור? The login is unified for all Wiki projects. Icewhiz (talk) 12:13, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
- Hi, Icewhiz, many thanks! I am using two different browsers, In this browser I am loged in as Ovedc, and still cant edit... Ovedc (talk) 12:18, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
- I suspect the autoblock may be based on the unified login - the login process is not enwiki specific. If you want to continue using ויקימנטור on hewiki (and elsewhere) - you might want to try and get the sockpuppet block off it here. I believe you were trying to act in good faith on enwiki - you only edited article space with ויקימנטור - and you did declare COI (though not down to the letter of the policy). Icewhiz (talk) 12:24, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, Icewhiz, You are absolutely right, so how can I ask to get the sockpuppet block off here (I logged out from ויקימנטור and cleared my catch but still cant edit)? Ovedc (talk) 12:31, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
- You need to appeal its block - and say you will declare it properly as an alt account on enwiki. If what I think about sock range block is correct (and I may be wrong) - given your activity with both accounts (one for paid, one for unpaid, right?) on other Wikimedia projects (namely hewiki) - having ויקימנטור blocked as a sock on enwiki seems to be a rater big technical pain. Merely offering my 2cents, I have no say here. Icewhiz (talk) 12:51, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Hapak blue-01.png
Thank you for uploading File:Hapak blue-01.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
