Little context in Star Wars (fire and noise in space)
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Star Wars (fire and noise in space), by Marwood (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Star Wars (fire and noise in space) is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Star Wars (fire and noise in space), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 22:28, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Indian Flood.jpeg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Indian Flood.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:53, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

- A Virus is not an organism; it is not living, but merely a chain of protein coding (RNA). While I agree you could consider it a parasite, I do no think it works on the same level as an actual parasitic organism (ex a tape worm). --ShadowJester07 ► Talk 16:34, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Smashie and Nicey.jpeg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Smashie and Nicey.jpeg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Boxhead, by Kww (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Boxhead seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Boxhead, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 01:40, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
List of Creatures in Dino Crisis 3
[edit]A {{prod}} template has been added to the article List of Creatures in Dino Crisis 3, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Helmsb 00:22, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination of List of Creatures in Dino Crisis 3
[edit]List of Creatures in Dino Crisis 3, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that List of Creatures in Dino Crisis 3 satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Creatures in Dino Crisis 3 and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of List of Creatures in Dino Crisis 3 during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Helmsb 00:30, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit]The reason that the new merged article is a stub is because there was very little out-of-universe information to be extracted from the original articles. And I haven't played the games - I've only read a few of the novelizations. I'm probably not going to be much help making the new article comprehensive, I'm afraid. --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 00:36, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, please do NOT remove {{unreferenced}} tags from un-sourced articles. Parjay ► Talk 17:56, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- The source you listed was incorrect, it directed to a blank page - of course you know this now, as you have changed the source. But please, stop removing unreferenced tags. Adding a source to only one small section of the article is nothing. Every statement must be sourced, hence the unreferenced. Parjay ► Talk 00:04, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, the second time you added it - it worked, that's why is hasn't been removed. Like I said above, one source does not mean the article is referenced! EVERY CLAIM MUST BE SOURCED. Please stop removing the tags. Parjay ► Talk 16:58, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
- Will you kindly stop adding content back that has been removed for a reason? Your edits are bordering on vandalism now. If you don't know what it means, look it up in the editing guidelines, don't simply add it back! When you upload an image, READ the licensing part near the bottom, here I've included it for you since you can't seem to do that ... To the uploader: please add a detailed fair use rationale for each use, as described on Wikipedia:Image description page, as well as the source of the work and copyright information.. Only add the images back when you include a fair use rationale as indicated - further reverts or additions without taking into account everything I've informed you off will be seen and reported as vandalism. Parjay ► Talk 15:46, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
- Because you decided to add the removed content BACK without checking WHY it was removed. If content is removed due to "fair use rationale" and you don't know what that means, then check up the wiki editing guide - don't simply say "I don't know what that means" and add the content back. Parjay ► Talk 16:25, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Edit Summaries are there for a reason, read them. In this case it was: "removing, images do not have a fair use rationale". Parjay ► Talk 17:14, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- You have to give any pictures you upload a fair use rationale, I've told you this about one billion times. See the wiki editing guidelines, especially on images, as you don't seem to know what you're doing. Parjay ► Talk 12:51, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:James Marcus.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:James Marcus.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:50, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Yorkshire & Humberside Grid for Learning
[edit]A tag has been placed on Yorkshire & Humberside Grid for Learning, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD A7.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. NeilN 04:19, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

RE:UC
[edit]Actually, the RE Wiki is not allowed either. See WP:EL, under the Links normally to be avoided. Unless, the RE Wiki is really substantial, I don't think we can keep it. --ShadowJester07 ► Talk 18:33, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- How long has it been up? The earliest post on the main page is from March 2006. --ShadowJester07 ► Talk 15:07, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- I guess you can add the links, though I can't guarantee that it will stay up. i have no problem with the RE Wiki since I can see its been up for awhile, and not run by a bunch of twelve-year olds. :-p --ShadowJester07 ► Talk 06:57, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Boy A
[edit]Hi - I removed your plot section over at Boy A and though i'd come explain myself. I think some of the info was erroneous - perhaps it would be a good idea only to use plot info that you can source, so that you don't have to rely to memory to relay the plot? Also, check out [this guide|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Films/Style_guidelines#Plot] - I've never used it before (shame on me :) but it looks pretty easy to understand. If you want to put together a new section, do get in touch either on my talkpage or in the article's one, and I'd be happy to proofread it. Amo (talk) 18:02, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Freeston High school article
[edit]I went there myself, so I was wondering if you fancied helping make it into a half decent article? I hate the fact that some of our local articles suck so I'm going to help sort a lot of them out. Ultre (talk) 18:04, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
The John Freeston article is really small so I merged it with the school article, as far as I know his only notable achievement. What information have you found about him? ◄Ultre► (talk) 15:58, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
That article on Normanton from Genuki is awesome. The architectural information for the church and the history of the school is great, thanks =) ◄Ultre► (talk) 13:19, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I've had a look around the net but most of my information came from the library. I've finally cited some sources on the Normanton article too XD ◄Ultre► (talk) 14:01, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
