I just noticed that MiszaBot III is not archiving your talk page to anywhere... see [1] I looked at you settings and they look ok but they are not getting pasted anywhere that I find... Is this on purpose? -- RP459 Talk/Contributions 16:01, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

No, that's not done on purpose.... I'll have to fix that somehow. Osarius That's me! :Naggin' again? : What did I do?! 16:07, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

why did you list the article Ooly the Oologah Lake Monster for speedy deletion? what guide line did it not follow? —Preceding unsigned comment added bySantaslayer (talkcontribs) 15:51, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Your RfA

I would recommend that you withdraw your RfA (you can do that by posting a comment below your nominating statement). It is fairly clear that the RfA is not going to pass this time around and everything of substance that could be said there has already been said. There is not much point in prolonging the pain and waiting another four days. Just a suggestion... Nsk92 (talk) 16:35, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Just to let you know I closed your RFA as unsuccessful since the nomination expired and has only 15 supports against 33 opposes. I would recommend you wat a few months address the concerns of those who opposed and then try again. –BuickCenturyDriver 03:21, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
As BCD is not a bureaucrat and has no standing to close this RfA early without your consent, I have undone his action. NW (Talk) 03:22, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Graze (company) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done undersection A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Pleasesee the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administratoruserfy the page or email a copy to you. Top Jim (talk) 16:06, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to onlya small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.Courcelles 05:30, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguations

It has more or less been decided that it's not very constructive to add (disambiguation) to pages with just surnames on it. If a disambiguation article becomes large enough, with more than one topic, then name (surname) is the way it's wanted to go. Williamb (talk) 15:39, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Australian women's involvement in WWI is none of " a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content ", and "as a result of history from below, feminist historiography, and specialist histories such as the history of nursing, the role of Australian women during World War I has received more attention from historians since the 1970s" is a statement of encyclopaedic importance: existence in a historiographical literature. my hack of your subpage User:Osarius/CSD

Sorry, I had to remove your example of the {{hangon}} template from this page, because including it on your page was causing the page to show up in CAT:CSD. I replaced it with a pretty ugly hack as a stopgap measure to restore the appearance of the page: I subst'ed the hangon template, took out the categories, and pasted the plain code in your page. If you want to clean up the hack, you can take the code I just added, move it to a subpage like User:Osarius/CSD/hangon, and transclude it instead. I can help you with this if you'd like, just let me know. --Floquenbeam (talk) 00:31, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Doing that image thing you did for the speedy template would work too. --Floquenbeam (talk) 00:35, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll screenshot a hangon tag - as I did with the speedy template. Cheers anyway, I can see why it would cause problems if the tag was left there. Osarius : Talk : Contribs 00:51, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Question

Did you give 71.138.132.50 (talk) permission to edit your sig on people's talk pages? LikeLakers2 (talk) 19:01, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

Not at all, which is why I put {{welcome-anon-vandal}} on the IP's talk page this morning. Osarius :T : C : Been CSD'd? 19:06, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Ok, then that means we have to revert all of his edits that were editting your sig. I've started doing so already.LikeLakers2 (talk) 19:08, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
And lmao; I got the tb message after I posted the previous edit to this page. LikeLakers2 (talk) 19:09, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
You know, now I'm confused. 5 albert square said he warned the IP that was editting your sig. (seehere if you don't know what I mean) Yet, he himself helped with reverting the edits. Does this make sense to you? LikeLakers2 (talk) 19:30, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, it does seem strange. We've been warning the IP ourselves and it's not made a blind bit of difference, so I don't know what he's thinking by putting a level 4 warning on. It'll still continue. I'm not sure if the IP is a sockpuppet though, surely the offender would create a named account? Osarius : T : C : Been CSD'd?19:36, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Nevermind about the thing about 5 albert square, apparently when he was warning the IP, he must not of taken into account that the IP was editting your sig. The IP is 31-hour blocked right now. LikeLakers2 (talk) 19:38, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

Moved to my user page

Click disambiguation page

I appreciate your interest in discussing this. While WP:REDLINK indicates that red links can be useful in indicating articles that should be created, it also states (in the first paragraph): "However, rather than using red links in lists, disambiguation pages or templates as an article creation guide, editors are encouraged to write the article first, and instead use wikiprojects or user spaces to keep track of unwritten articles." (emphasis mine) The Manual of Style for disambiguation pages has specific direction on redlinks, beginning with: "A link to a non-existent article (a 'red link') should only be included on a disambiguation page when an article (not just disambiguation pages) also includes that red link." Also, when a red link is used on a disambiguation page, it should be accompanied by a blue link to an article that offers some information about that usage (in this case, about the clock manufacturer KLIK), in accordance with the purpose of a disambiguation page: not to list every meaning of a term, or even every notable meaning of a term, but to help users navigate Wikipedia content, hence my earlier statement that if no Wikipedia article has any information about this topic, there's no purpose to including it on a disambiguation page.

All that being said, while I am confident that the guidelines would currently not support inclusion of this item, I probably won't remove it myself today or tomorrow, in part because there are already a ton of Manual of Style violations on the Click page and this one is no worse than the others. But the entry is liable to be removed in the future, unless the entry is re-formatted to include a link to an article that at least mentions this specific company. Theoldsparkle (talk) 15:03, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

I am not sure if your recent edit linking to Radio clock may be an effort to meet the MOS guidelines I described above. However, that article does not meet the qualifications for listing KLIK on the disambiguation page, because (as far as I see) it doesn't mention the company, so someone who searches for the company would not be well-served in being sent to that article. Theoldsparkle (talk) 13:08, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
So I've failed in this instance to create a article about KLIK (It was eligible for section A7), and I've failed to create a blue link that follows the MOS, so the text might as well be removed. It's hard to find reliable data on a company that doesn't have a website, and only sells through sites such as Amazon. If I can gather enough information, difficult as it may be, I shall attempt to recreate the KLIK (manufacturer) article. I'm not disheartened, and I have learnt from this. I'll remove the text straight away, but the article will have to wait.Osarius : T : C : Been CSD'd? 13:17, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on KLIK (manufacturer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

Wow...

Looks like 71.138.132.50 (talk) has continued to attempt to change things so that your CSD page is not linked to as much. See here for one instance of what I mean. Yes, I've reverted the user's edit to the page. I'll help keep watch over the user. If this continues, I'll report the IP to WP:AIV. LikeLakers2 (talk) 14:39, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

I think a level 4 warning is in order... next time, it does anything like this after the level 4 warning, WP:AIV and get a longer block on it this time. Osarius : T : C : Been CSD'd?20:13, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

Why did you nominate Nyjer Morgan for speedy deletion under WP:CSD#A7? The article already indicated that he is a Major League Baseball player. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 03:56, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

My removal of your edit was completely in line with policy. Your edit, however, was not in line with Manual of Style, first person pronouns. Therefore it was removed. You are free to edit the page again, but follow the MoS by not writing in first person. I also suggest you read WP:NPA. Osarius : T : C :Been CSD'd? 15:30, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
