GLAM report for Australia

I was happy to see, Oronsay, that you were covered at some length in the October GLAM report on Australia. In connection with the upcoming events in Sydney, I hope you and Rosiestep will be able to encourage more people to become interested in improving coverage of women on Wikipedia. If they register on Women in Red, it will be much easier for us to offer them assistance. As your panel is being streamed, your discussions should be followed around the globe.--Ipigott (talk) 07:13, 14 November 2022 (UTC)

Thank you, @Ipigott: I will do my best at the Worlds of Wikimedia Conference before, during and after the Adrianne Wadewitz panel session to get people involved with WiR, and I'm sure Rosie will too. Obviously, I will mention WiR where appropriate during the ESEAP Conference 2022, but am aware that its focus is on developing the Hub and editing communities in this area. Oronsay (talk) 21:16, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
So excited to have arrived in Sydney! I am very much looking forward to participating in these conferences, where I'll be wearing a couple of different hats. --Rosiestep (talk) 23:44, 14 November 2022 (UTC)

Nomination of Adriane Rini for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Adriane Rini is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Adriane Rini until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Gertrude L. (Burke) Spencer

Hi O. A few editors have been working on improving Seventh Conference of the International Woman Suffrage Alliance as the event's poster is a Featured picture scheduled for POTD. In the Representation section of the article, there's mention of Gertrude L. (Burke) Spencer as an official delegate of the government of Australia. I haven't found significant sources about her but wondered what might be accessible in Australia and if Gertrude should be redlinked for her own article? Rosiestep (talk) 18:01, 22 November 2022 (UTC)

@Rosiestep. Gertrude Lucie Burke (Wikidata) married, without being given away or vowing to obey, Reverend Frederick Augustus Morland Spencer in London in 1913 before the Seventh Conference took place, hence the bracketed name. They later lived in UK, where she was lecturer or tutor at Keble College, Oxford. Can @Lajmmoore help with her later life? Oronsay (talk) 01:13, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
Hmmm, there's not much popping up for me - I know @Aivin G. works on women associated with Oxford - perhaps they will have more luck? Lajmmoore (talk) 08:09, 24 November 2022 (UTC)

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
