Spelling etc

[edit]

At Wikipedia we don't "correct" international spelling by substituting American spelling, just as we don't substitute BC for BCE and AD for CE. They're just something we leave be. Might as well be on the side of the angels, eh!--Wetman 03:30, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well how's about that, and I'm not even American! Sorry; I had Word's language set on English (U.S) rather than English (Canada) and had copied the paragraph into my document. Naturally, it said the spelling was wrong, so I changed it.
On the other hand, Canadian English dictates the use of both "ize" and "ise" as proper English. Watev. oobugtalk/contrib 16:01, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About "Jumper"

[edit]

Where did Kaizer Allen Bautista starred? I think he made an appearance in this movie, and he is the alter ego of Hayden Christensen so they are just the same. I got that information from MTV. 121.1.61.198 (talk) 05:52, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My guess is that MTV made up the name Kaizer Allen Bautista for some sort of skit. In any case, there is no "Kaizer Allen Bautista" listed in the credits of Jumper, and an IMDB search returns no names. If you can find a link to a verifiable website, you can add the name with the citation. Max Thieriot is the actor that plays David Rice as a young teenager before he learns of his jumping ability. I apologize that my first reaction was to assume that you were vandalizing the page, but that's kind of what it looked like. oobugtalk/contrib 16:38, 20 February 2008 (UTC) (reply on user's talk page)[reply]

Heart table

[edit]

Very nice! Where is such technical material documented? Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 15:46, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The procedure for sorting based on an invisible header is mentioned in Help:Sorting#Sort_modes in regard to the Sms template, which does basically the same thing as. I actually just copied the idea from List of songs in Rock Band, where they use the table sorting method for the Downloadable songs table. Though the concept of sorting the artists by last name rather than first name was a good one, I thought that the execution of the idea could be better handled using the Rock Band article's method. Glad you liked it! oobugtalk/contrib 16:11, 12 May 2008 (UTC) Reply on user's talk page[reply]
