A tag has been placed on Remain In Memory - The Final Show requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 16:56, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Album_RemainInMemory_cover.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Album_RemainInMemory_cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 04:28, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Good Riddance" album?

[edit]

If you're referring to the "Remain In Memory - The Final Show" album, it was deleted because it did not meet Wikipedia's notability standards for music and albums, and it was also a copyright violation in that it was a direct copy-and-paste form another web site, which is illegal.

By the way, blanking one's user talk page to remove user warnings that other editors have placed there is taken by many to be an attempt to evade these warnings, and is often seen as acting in bad faith. Remember that a complete history of revisions to your user talk page (and any other page) is available for anyone to see, so page-blanking is completely and utterly ineffective. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 16:56, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was more than just a copyright violation. The album simply doesn't meet notability standards for music, and will likely be deleted again if you recreate the article. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 16:37, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Click on this: Wikipedia's notability standards for music and albums. That tells about what makes a notable album and what doesn't. Just filling out all the fields in an info box doesn't make an album notable enough for is own article. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 22:06, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled NOFX album

[edit]

Adding the track listing to this untitled EP violates several core Wikipedia policies. From Wikipedia's policy on verification, "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth—whether readers can check that material in Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether editors think it is true." So you may believe this track listing to be authentic because you saw it on a web forum or a blog, or perhaps you're very familiar with 80's punk and you can identify these songs yourself, but the problem is it cannot be included here until a reliable publication confirms this information. By Wikipedia's standards, blogs and forums are not considered reliable sources. And until the track listing is confirmed by the proper sources, it's considered original research—something Wikipedia does not publish.

Also, with this edit you did far more than simply add a track listing. You also removed every single reference in the article, you removed the categories, and you removed the navigational template—none of these edits were constructive to the article. Be sure to use caution when undoing someone's edit in the future. Fezmar9 (talk) 16:36, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation

[edit]

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Don't Forget Your Roots (H2O album). Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat chanel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:H2O Don't Forget Your Roots cover.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:05, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
