Your GA nomination of Rust in Peace

[edit]

The article Rust in Peace you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:Rust in Peace for things which need to be addressed. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of CrowzRSA -- CrowzRSA (talk) 01:20, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The prose & refs look great but now the only issue is the Accolades and Certifications sections. Once these issues are resolved, I will be happy to pass the article. CrowzRSA 06:40, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Redirecting songs

[edit]

Hey L1, obviously it's not the best time to reopen this topic, but how about redirecting the less notable songs we've discussed some time ago? I'm thinking of "Breadline" and "The Scorpion". Your thoughts?--Retrohead (talk) 20:46, 26 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That Blabbermouth article you provided as a source is quite enlightening to say the least. I feel a bit more of what Jake reveals in that interview could be and should be incorporated into the article, as this is a significant part of the album's story. I'm a bit out of the Wikipedia loop but I'm pretty sure there are no "reliable source" concerns about Blabbermouth. Thanks for introducing that interview. Sure, that looks like a sufficient exception to the rule. The articles cited are mostly about the topic of an upcoming album regardless of title, so it does seem like a WP:HAMMER exception. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 03:55, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

L1A1 FAl, @Retrohead:, et. al: you'd better improve Repentless, making sure the Slayer discography topic remains consistent... (also, you could make one of those for Megadeth's studio albums given the set is complete until Dystopia comes out) igordebraga 12:30, 21 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I noticed your recent edit summary on WannaCry ransomware attack. Edit summaries like "Accusation not in source, Snowden says the NSA should have prevented the attack, not that they committed it. Reeks of POV. Will report vandalism if reverted" are not conducive to collaborative behavior on Wikipedia. If you were reverted, the first thing to do would be to exercise WP:BRD and discuss the issue with the other editor on the talk page, as it clearly was not vandalism. Please remember to assume good faith on the part of other editors, and if you have an issue with another editor that you can't resolve politely, please consider dispute resolution or reporting to the appropriate noticeboard. Thank you! Waggie (talk) 18:19, 13 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry I didn't appreciate the twisting of a report by an editor who seems to have a potentially pro-Russian bias. Did you even read what I changed? Or the sources? Or look at the user's edits? Hello L1A1 FAL. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Brain Surgeons, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: two notable members is a claim of notability per WP:NBAND #6. Thank you. SoWhy 08:49, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In re to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zappa (film) I'm curious to know your level Danish? Sam Sailor 18:04, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at your contributions and your user page, I see no indications that you have any knowledge of Danish whatsoever. Hvis jeg tager fejl, må du naturligvis korrigere mig, men da må jeg blot spørge, hvorfor du nominerer en film artikel til sletning, uden at tage højde for kilderne. So, what is your gain here? Looking at your very limited AFD stats, this is your first contribution in four years, your first AFD that has anything to do with film, and your first AFD that is related to a Danish subject. Sam Sailor 19:37, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Of what relevance is my degree of fluency, or lack thereof, in the Danish language? You strike me as being somewhat upset by my deletion nomination.--L1A1 FAL (talk) 23:39, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The above non-response was moved here from User talk:Sam Sailor where the editor posted in Special:Diff/986732269/986780529 disregarding the behavioural guideline at WP:MULTI and disregarding User talk:Sam Sailor/Editnotice.
Article deletion is governed by the policies found on Wikipedia:Deletion policy. Read it, learn it, follow it. Drive-by deletion tagging is a waste of time and should be avoided. Sam Sailor 04:17, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You could learn to be more polite. And unless you actually have something to discuss, please do not contact me again, or a complaint will be filed.--L1A1 FAL (talk) 22:46, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The above non-response was again moved here from User talk:Sam Sailor where the editor posted in Special:Diff/986813520/986947966 and a few minutes later appended their post in Special:Diff/986947966/next again disregarding the behavioural guideline at WP:MULTI and disregarding User talk:Sam Sailor/Editnotice.
First of all, please post your replies here. I made it clear in the edit summary of Special:Diff/986748549/986813258 that that is considered good practice cf. WP:MULTI, yet again you chose to fragment the discussion by replying on my talk page. Got it? That's a question, do you have the courtesy of replying?
Stick to subject here: your tagging of Zappa (film) for deletion. I asked you two questions, you did not answer any of them. Instead, you responded with a rhetorical question and made the irrelevant comment "You strike me as being somewhat upset by my deletion nomination." Do you want to answer the questions?
I chose to disregard that you did not wish to discuss your incompetence or your motivations for tagging an article for deletion against policy, and politely pointed you towards the relevant policy. With your reply "You could learn to be more polite" you have now sunk to the second-lowest level on the discussion and proven, that you do not wish to discuss the subject matter: your incompetent, policy-breaking shitfuckery. I could learn to be more polite? Could you learn to follow policy? Again, that's a question, do you have the courtesy of replying?
In Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zappa (film) your nomination rationale read "non notable film". Apart from the obvious lack of respect for your own language's norm for caps and punctuation, the argument is a classical WP:JUSTNOTNOTABLE "argument" that should be avoided.
Looking at a few of your previous AFD nominations, I see
It is you that do not want to address your disruptive editing. Either commit to understanding policy or eventually face yourself at ANI with a suggestion that an WP:EDR be imposed on your AFD participation. Sam Sailor 16:36, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Typically, I reply on the other editor's page when I converse.
I stand behind the work I have done on Wikipedia. Am I perfect? No, but, nobody else is, either. I will be filing a complaint about your rude and aggressive behavior and assumption of bad faith towards me. Do NOT contact me again for any reason. Good day.--L1A1 FAL (talk) 17:53, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,
