Control copyright icon Hello Onmyway22! Your additions to Kareelakulangara have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 12:38, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sandip Senan moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Sandip Senan, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition, there is a question of WP:UPE or WP:COI. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 04:50, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop Vandalising

[edit]

Why are you proposing Krishnajeev TR article about a playback singer to be deleted? It already meets WP:GNG. Stop being vandalising in it. The article is now suitable for the wikipedia as per policy. If you think it need improvement, put more citations needed notice or clean up. If your are not, your creation Palakkad Sreeram will be in deletion discuss soon, because it doesn't meet wikipedia policy with less references for "biography of living person" notice and no enough reference for verification. Thanks for the time, hope you understand. Stop Vandalise, Happy Writing. Hope you will continue more Contributions in wikipedia Thanks, Regards, 0"cleopatra"0 (talk) 13:28, 23 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@0"cleopatra"0: I don't care about the article, Krishnajeev TR getting deleted or approved. I just highlighted your ACCEPT comment on the article discussion page [1] to get a notice for the voters, as you are the author of the article. If the article meets WP:GNG, it will be free on mainspace and I also will be felt good to have another article on Wikipedia from Kerala, Your interest in Krishnajeev shows WP:COI. Stop your threatening on users who correct your articles, It might be considered as personal attack and might get blocked. See WP:NPA. Have a nice day ! Muddy (film) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Muddy (film), is not suitable as written to remain published. In addition it is WP:TOOSOON, the film not yet released. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). DMySon (talk) 01:58, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@DMySon: Thanks for your edit on the article. But I do not think that the article falls WP:TOOSOON. As per TOO SOON, A film could merit an article if it meets either WP:Notability (film) or WP:GNG, and the Article just need to meet one of them otherwise it could be on WP:TOOSOON. This is the first Indian multilingual off-road race film and I believe that there is a scope for WP:FILMS Project. The article is well-sourced from reliable sources such as National media also the film is completed and confirmed the release on 10 December also the release date confirmation is sourced. Somebody from Wikipedia told me earlier on live chat that a film which is not been released yet but if its release is confirmed and sourced may have an article and also there are so many upcoming film articles are on Wikipedia. I researched the film, Muddy, before I create the article. I didn't expect an Afc redirect. What else should I include in the article? Kindly do the needful Onmyway22 (talk) 07:48, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Correct tags, wrong times

[edit]

I appreciate your efforts to tag sub-stubs such as Neoascia subchalybea and Geum reptans with {{Expert needed}} and similar tags. But you may find that you get accused of templating the regulars. In particular, editors may get peeved if a stub is tagged shortly after its creation, as they may still be working on the article. So it would be better if you looked through pages such as WP:WikiProject Plants/New article listing, and start tagging from the bottom, which goes back about 14 days. Abductive (reasoning) 15:19, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Abductive: : That makes sense, Thanks for the suggestion. I just tagged it as there is a scope for education purposes, I just tagged it to get it expanded by experts for the world. I will make sure to follow in the way you suggested. Thank you so much !! happy editing Onmyway22 talk 15:33, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Onmyway, I was about to start a new section on your talk page, but it looks like someone has addressed a similar issue. To specifically address {{expert needed}}, a templates for discussion (Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2021 February 9#Template:Expert needed) concluded with the agreement that the expert needed tag should never be used without explaining why an expert is needed on that particular article, as opposed to the other millions of articles here. The tag has rarely led to an expert cleaning up the article and there has been a running debate as to whether this template is useful. I would avoid placing it in the future. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 06:39, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Oiyarbepsy: Thank you so much, I understood it and removed the templates. Thank you for guiding me. I will definitely keep this on my mind. Happy editing Onmyway22 talk 08:54, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Moved to draftspace

[edit]

Hello. Why Kelvin Madzongwe this article was moved to draftspace? Thank you. Richard M William (talk) 07:13, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Richard M William:, Thanks for creating the article Kelvin Madzongwe and appreciate the effort, You need to develop the article more to fall in WP:GNG. Draftifying the article does not mean that the article won't be published forever, you can develop the article in the draft space. Once you completed it, you can submit the draft for review. A reviewer will review the draft and will decide whether it should be on Article Space or not. Keep developing. Good luck! Happy editing. Onmyway22 talk 07:28, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why you didn't move it to draftspace? Richard M William (talk) 08:15, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Too many errors

[edit]

Not only are the pages you create problematic (poorly sourced, no indication of notability, wrong categories), you also seem to make a lot of errors in your warnings of other people. I already commented at User talk:Ved548, but this warning in completely inappropriate as well. Not only is the article creator perfectly allowed to ! vote on an AfD about an article they created, but you warned them that you reverted their edit, which you didn't do. Furthermore, the AfD itself is rather wrong, with a claim of "no significant coverage" which indicates that you probably didn't do the necessary WP:BEFORE search. Fram (talk) 14:06, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Fram: Thanks for letting me know the errors, Let me fix them, and will consider them in the future. I nominated the article you mentioned because the only two references are from reliable sources, and the same article was previously deleted three times for the same reason [G11]. Let the XfD decide and I will definitely accept the decision of Keep or Delete. There is no personal interest or hate. Thank you so much, Happy editing Onmyway22 talk 14:25, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Moved to draftspace

[edit]

Hi Onmyway22,

You moved the article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Khi%E1%B8%8Dr_Khan to draftspace, with the following comments:

"An article you recently created, Khiḍr Khan, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Onmyway22 talk 08:45, 11 November 2021 (UTC)"

Considering the article deals with a head of state, connects to other articles, and relates to the history of several medieval polities, I believe it does not lack notability. Moreover, it was created because there was apparent need for it, with other contributors' links to non-existent article on this person. As for references, the article contains both a list of published sources (10 of them) and footnotes providing references for the information in each paragraph. While I realize that information and material on this historical character is not exactly plentiful, how is this unsuitable to remain published -- either in itself, or compared to others? StefThrax (talk) 19:13, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@StefThrax: Thanks for creating the article. The article needed more details and references from reliable sources. Instead of nominating the article for deletion, I moved it to the draft space that you to develop the article to meet the notability. You can develop the article and once it is completed submit the draft for review. a reviewer will review the draft and will let you know the decision whether it should be in the article space or not. Do not submit the draft until it is developed. Happy editing !! Onmyway22 talk 11:31, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tagging pages for speedy deletion

[edit]

Hello, Onmyway22,

Please be careful about what pages you tag for deletion as a "test edit". Even pages with just one sentence are potentially articles, especially if an editor has only created the page in the past day. Test edits are, for example, if an editor was experimenting with different fonts or tags on a page or they were using a template page as if it was an article page. If the page looks like the start of a draft article, even if it is very short, please do not tag it for deletion. Unless it is advertising or a copyright or BLP violation, editors are given a lot of leeway on developing articles in Draft space. Unless there is content that violates Wikipedia rules, editors typically are given at least six months to create an article and some editors craft articles over years. Thank you. Liz Read!
