User talk:Onikage725
Welcome
[edit]Hey there, Onikage725. Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you enjoy being a Wikipedian and decide to stay! Here are a few good links for newcomers (or "oldcomers" for reference):
By the way, you should sign and date your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. Three tildes (~~~) produces just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!
Hey there, I noticed you had a blank talk page AND it looks like you're still figuring out a few things. If you want to sign your comments after editing a talk page (like I'm doing right now) you can click the signature button at the top row, second one from the right, or just type four tildes. Let me know if you have any more CT related questions, I also have a wikibook on the subject--BigCow 02:45, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Hey, I was wondering if there was some way that I could contact you outside of wikipedia? You seem to be an intelligent individual (unlike certain anonymous users) with an in-depth knowledge of the Dragon Ball Z series. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to speak with you regularly, rather than occasionally throwing up responses to each other when we notice that something new is up. I'd list my AIM address but I don't want any unsavory sorts to get ahold of it. Do you have an e-mail address I could send the information to?

Who moved Freeza to Frieza?
[edit]You said you were going to get to the bottom of this, so I decided to do some investigating myself as well and it turns out it was none other than Zarbon that did the honors of moving the page. Just check this out [1]. Looks like we might have another "Wiki-star" on our hands...-3bulletproof16 23:39, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
I need help
[edit]Taracka has moved my talk page, and when I tried to move it back, I screwed up, and now my user page redirects to my talk page. It's screwed up and I have no idea how to fix it. Furthermore, Taracka refuses to leave me alone, has been vandalizing my talk page, as well as the Dragon Ball Z Power Levels article. If you know how to help me, or can contact someone who can, I would appreciate it.
Daishokaioshin 22:38, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- I've managed to fix my talk and user pages, but Taracka is still being a jerk. I see you put up a request for assistance. For some reason I have been unable to find the pages with such things. I go to Help, I go to Contact Wikipedia, and I don't see the option for such anywhere. Thanks a lot, and I hope that this user is dealt with soon so I don't have to keep bothering you.
Survey- Wiki-star's proposed edits
[edit]- Change Super Buu w/ Gohan to reflect him as the "nicest" of Super Buu's forms.
Wikipedia is not a publisher of original thought - Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Remove all mention of Buu's video game transformations.
Discussed millions of times and an overall consensus was formed.
- Re-add the external links.
Wikipedia is not a soapbox Wikipedia is not a mirror or a repository of links, images, or media files
- Re-add the episode appearences.

Just wanted to clear that up.-3bulletproof16 18:02, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
Staw Poll
[edit]Hello, you are invited to take part in a straw poll at the Majin Buu page to avoid another revert war with User:Wiki-star.--Orion Minor 23:44, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Snurk, snurk, snurk...
After doing a file report on WP:ANI that was lightly brushed away, administrators suggested taking the case to WP:ARB. The theory being, if User:Wiki-star is as bad as all out, he would shoot himslef in the foot (though he should be lookin' somethin' like the Black Knight by now). As a periphery, I don't feel it's right to act as a cornerstone. Would you organize it?
I'm posting this to several parties involved in this 'lil get-together at Majin Buu, so let them know if you get to it first or decline please. This looks to be our final measure. Papacha 06:07, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Classification of Piccolo Daimaô
[edit]I'm going to put him down for Category: Fictional kings, but should he go under fictional extraterrestrials, fictional demons, or both due to story retcons? Voice of Treason 20:31, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
- I would say both, mainly due to his creation. While Ma Junior was born with a normal body and soul (giving him that capacity for good), Daimao was pretty much evil incarnate, the bad impulses of a Namek-seijin given flesh. That's why, I think, his "children" were born as twisted demons and not just "evil" Namek-seijin (aside from Ma Junior of course). Though, if one category had to be chosen, extraterrestrial would be the better fit. Onikage725 20:43, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
- Makes sense; that's what I was thinking but it's always nice to have a second opinion (especially in a case where it agrees with you). I'll get on it right away. Voice of Treason 20:47, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
With a song in my heart ~~
[edit]You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, well you just might find... you get what you need. Papacha 05:42, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- Well isn't that always true, my good friend... You know, kinda makes you wonder if he'd really clean up his act this time around... ... ... NAH... --3bulletproof16 06:03, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- However... I am going to miss his dramatic way of writing... that Final Atonement speech almost (ahem... ALMOST) brought a tear to my eye. Well not really, but still pretty dramatic. --3bulletproof16 06:19, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- That final speech would have been more impressive if he had an adult proof read it first... Onikage725
Well for once I'm somewhat flattered that he actually addressed me this time. Though I'm not too fond of him saying that he was going to kill me, I do, however, manage to find some comedic relief in all this at the thought of him attempting to kill me. Here's my analysis: He can't write at all so my guess is another Dragon Emperor "Sockpuppet". However, the IPs responsible for the recent vandalism are AOL trolls so there is a slim possibility that Wiki-star could indeed be making himself look like an ass again... --3bulletproof16 21:44, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
If you're around right now
[edit]Check out the discussion for Kuririn, where Buster Sword cites the manga isn't an "official source", as it's a direct translation (along with FUNi's subtitles). Voice of Treason 00:03, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- It's more that I find it PREPOSTEROUS that "subtitles and MANGA aren't... official, they are simply a direct translation" is even thinkable, it's not even logical. It's one of the most nutty things I've ever heard on Wikipedia, and I've talked with Wiki-star... Voice of Treason
- I find it funny that there's a group of anime fans who love the shows but hate the language. I'm not a dub hater, but I've seen companies do it too, especially 4Kids - making onigiri into ice cream(?!) on Pokemon, for example. Voice of Treason 00:50, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Creation of character critique in articles
[edit]From what I was told in peer review, articles on fictional characters need to abide by WP:WAF, and getting a GA on one is tougher than before. That's all I know, as far as that goes. Voice of Treason 18:56, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
A tip
[edit]http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hercule_%28Dragon_Ball%29&diff=90001625&oldid=89893767
Don't move articles if their move requests failed. WhisperToMe 22:12, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
That's not an excuse to completely disregard policy. See WP:JARLAXLE - He tried to argue about how WP:MOS didn't apply to him. Didn't work. The policies you mentioned may give people some leeway, but they won't grant you an immediate escape from a failed move request. WhisperToMe 23:31, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
This wasn't an ordinary straw poll, anyway. This was Wikipedia:Requested moves - Since it ended in "Don't Move," the page shall remain that way. WhisperToMe 23:50, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
And here we go again
[edit]Oh joy - another move request. Logic isn't enough apparently.

About polling
[edit]To avoid WP:Sockpuppets, meatpuppets, and "single use account" abuse in polls, we generally do not count votes made by newly-created anonymous users (usually less than 4 days) or accounts with less than 100 edits - This isn't a hard-and-fast, rigid rule, but a flexible guideline. Since that one guy had less than 50 edits, I.E., he does not edit very often at all, his vote may not be counted. See WP:Sockpuppets about this. BTW, while I personally did not feel like he was an actual sockpuppet, I don't think that he edited enough in order to count as a "Wikipedian" WhisperToMe 02:03, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
What do you think?
[edit]There's a troll that is reverting my redirects from a few articles that seem to be plain listcruft. (List of Dragon Ball DVDs List of Dragon Ball video games, List of Dragon Ball episodes) I believe it is unnecessary to have such lists because of the fact that there are templates that list most of the information there already. The third article in question is nothing more than a list of movies and links to other lists. A comment on this issue would be greatly appreciated. -- bulletproof 3:16 03:19, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
Please see Talk:Dragon World dispute for your vote on whether we should keep the Human (Dragon World) article or have it merged into Dragon World. Thanks! Power level (Dragon Ball) 15:39, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
When you can, see Talk:Power level (Dragon Ball)#Okay, let's get these power levels right!, thanks! Power level (Dragon Ball) 18:58, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hey there! If I recall, you have the Bardock DVD, right? Anyways, can you confirm if King Vegeta's and Prince Vegeta's power levels (as well as Burdock's) are correct on that Power level talk page ^_^? Thanks! Power level (Dragon Ball) 00:12, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- I think you said that you also had The Tree of Might film too, right? Can you confirm baby Goku's power levels in both movies and leave the answer at the Talk:PL (DB) page? We really need your help man, thanks! Power level (Dragon Ball) 01:36, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message. I'm sorry then for asking too much out of you. It's just that I wanna get this power level list completed and over with and started working on the other DB related articles. I really hope that you can confirm King Vegeta's and Prince Vegeta's power levels in the Burdock special only if they're mentioned in the Japanese audio w/ English subtitles, that is. A new Dragon Ball attack list
[edit]I should let ya know too. Whenever you can, please see Talk:List of Dragon Ball special abilities#Garlic Gun. If you see that Garlic Gun there, that is just a sample of how the techniques should be classified and titled. I am going to change all of the techniques on the list (except Kamehameha, Dodonpa, Genki Dama, Kaio Ken and any others that were used as romaji names in the English manga/anime) into their literal English translation in about five days from now. This change will be similar as to how Bardock was changed to Burdock (name pun) and Hercule to Mr. Satan (which was his original Japanese/romaji name). Please comment on anything else if you have something you may want to add on to it. Thanks! Power level (Dragon Ball) 00:27, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Dragonball Wiki
[edit]- Hi there. I noticed you're a member of Wikiproject Dragonball, and I'm trying to recruit some people from that to contribute to the Dragon Ball Wiki. It's in terrible shape right now with pretty much no consistency or policies, and only this week have I been able to get Angela and Sannse to create some Forums for us over there. I've got a proposed Manual of Style going over there and would like some people to contribute to that to set up some policies and start making the wiki bigger, better, and more intelligible/consistent. If you're interested, please hop on over or talk to me. Thanks for the time, whether you're interested or not. Wildyoda 02:28, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

You're Welcome with support in the Debate
[edit]Anytime you need my help, just give me a holler. You're welcome with the support, and I completely agree with you on all your arguments. I agree that this one got out of hand, and I find it quite insulting that they started arrangments to delete or merge, while giving the illusion of a fair consensus. You and I both have dedicated time and effort to this project and it's offensive to me when someone says that it's not good enough while they don't even try to make it better. That to me was like them saying, "No matter what the consensus is, we're doing it anyway." I can give you my Email if you'd like to have a more private conversation sometime, with Wikipedia, you can't really talk one on one with someone, the whole world can see your conversation. Nice talkin with ya, remember, anytime you need help... :) See ya! --MajinVegeta 04:33, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Formerly MajinVegeta
[edit]I am formerly known as MajinVegeta, something happend to my account where it Wouldn't let me log in, or give me my password to my email (It kept saying that I didn't have an email, WTF?), so in order to avoid just going through the administartion at Wikipedia to figure out what went wrong, I just started another account with this name. Talk to you later! --VorangorTheDemon 19:43, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- I am getting so sick of that "Goku vs Son Goku" debate. I don't think I'll be posting on it anymore, it's going in an endless cycle. However, if they change it themselves, we can get them for vandalism regardless of that stupid guideline. --VorangorTheDemon 14:34, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- I totally agree, I will give them credit though, I've never had anyone exhaust me in debate before. That's why I got a tuna sandwhich when talking to A Link to The Past, protien is a vital component in repairing the body after long excercizes. Hopefully you know what I'm talking about. :) --VorangorTheDemon 18:18, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- I've begun to ignore Link to the Past's posts. Reading through his posts, it's become apparent to me that I'm not entirely sure that the guy knows what he's talking about, insisting that "Freeza" is Japanese after you have explained it numerous times. And earlier he mentioned that he was involved in featured articles, which I am beginning to find this hard to believe. The guy can't communicate efficiently enough to have a huge influence on featured articles, you saw earlier, he was screaming at both of us (mostly me). Your thoughts? --VorangorTheDemon 17:21, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- Just ignore him about this, because the discussion is going nowhere. And if he changes it himself we can get him for vandalism, and if he is more direct with his arrogance and insults, then we can report him for uncivilty. He isn't even listening to what we are saying and he obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. Those are the most difficult people to argue with, so I simply ignore them. It's not worth my time to argue with someone if they aren't even going to listen to me. --VorangorTheDemon 14:52, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit]While anime and manga can be used as a source, there needs to be proper citations (that is, to make them look like this: [1]), and you need to reference the exact page in the exact manga or the exact episode of the anime. - A Link to the Past (talk) 23:55, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Greg Werner
[edit]I read your post on WP:DBZ. I recall Greg Werner's site a place not be used for sources, like the former DB-unlimited site. Last I read, the Werner site was actually a non-official fansite. Where would be the site anyways if it is official? Lord Sesshomaru
- He moved it to the Grand Line. Its linked over on daizex (I never recall the URL, I just go their usually). And I just mentioned him because he has the interviews posted their. I've seen some of them translated in other places too, and they were pretty much consistent. I'm not suggesting using his personalized sections, but aside from a handful of translation errors (a couple in the attack list, and the 15 million/150 million typo), I really don't see what else would be wrong with using him as a 3rd party source for something like the interviews. I mean, we could just cite the Kanzebans themselves, but someones gonna get up in arms about "English wiki," so I figured use a translation. Onikage725 07:45, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hey thanks. All I really needed was the new external link. Wonder what happened to the db-unlimited website anyways? Last I visited, it shut down too. Lord Sesshomaru
- Yeah, most of the old ones are gone. SREDBZ, Planet Namek, 3G... only ones I've seen last are Daizex, DB Arena, and Werner's un-updated but still hosted page. Onikage725 19:13, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

This is interesting. A discussion about me without including me. If you have any questions about the site I made over 10 years ago I'd be happy to answer any questions regarding what is/isn't correct. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.219.191.42 (talk) 04:44, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

Move to "Goku"
[edit]He's planning on moving it. What do you think should be done? --VorangorTheDemon 21:32, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- I wouldn't worry. I've been keeping an eye on him for some time now. Lord Sesshomaru
- Thanks Sesshomaru, and Onikage, in response to your comment on my page: LOL. O, Believe me, I know. I threatened him with WP:AIV and WP:AN/I if he decided to move it based soley on his own decision. Just don't respond to him anymore, there's no point in getting worked up over some one that is doing nothing but being annoying and repetative. If he moves, we can report him, simple solution to that problem. ;) --VorangorTheDemon 04:47, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Ignore him, that's the simplest thing to do. He's not following the consensus, and as far as I'm concerned, it's over, and he lost. --VorangorTheDemon 05:23, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Agree, but you also have to realize that I actually didn't attack him. I told him that out of "confidence" and "stupidity" I chose one that he was, however, I never said which one it was. So technically speaking, since I didn't actually say which one it was, it isn't an insult. and If I did chose confidence (ummm.... heh), there's nothing insulting about that now, is there? Chosing your words carefully is what ALWAYS allows you to say something without evidence of what you actually meant. This ALWAYS wins debates, remember that. ;D --VorangorTheDemon 05:37, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- True, but he didn't respond to my post. Perhaps he has nothing to say. I won't be arguing with him any more anyway. It's pointless, he lost. --VorangorTheDemon 05:44, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Careful
[edit]Whoa, be careful. WP:NLT applies. When I was talking about legal action, I could get away with it because I was talking hypothetically and about other people. Your most recent post was a borderline legal threat. I know you have no intention of legal action, but please be careful not to fall into that trap of making a threat. --Deskana (talk) 00:32, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

- Quite alright. Were our positions reversed I'd probably come to the same conclusion. I'm sorry for the confusion/trouble (hell, my blunder even stopped myself from being able to fix my own typo in the page). I figure we'll have to get Deskana or someone to fix it, though I suppose we ought to figure out what we'll be ficing it to exactly. Onikage725 22:11, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
What a mess!
[edit]Never mind Link, we have another bigger problem. There is a misspelled Artifical Human 18 that needs to be moved to Artificial Human 18, and that Android 17 page will need to be moved to Artificial Human 17 per consensus at WP:WPDB. Aside from this, the separate history pages acquire some merging, I think. Lord Sesshomaru 19:54, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Instead arguments happen over the most trivial things. In my opinion, its mostly (no offense) people like TTN and A Link to the Past starting these. Their immense stubbornness and unwillingness to quit is slowing the progress of the project considerably. But getting mad is only letting them win. All we have to do is keep a cool head and argue our points and eventually they will give up.
PS: I know Wikipedia is not censored in all but I was just wondering if I could Beep out or fill in the cursing of your statement with #$@$#'s or something.
DBZROCKSIts over 9000!!! 20:46, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I don't mind. I'm not sorry about anything I said, but I know I should be and I don't like losing my cool. I said in my edit summary and to ALttP that I'm taking a break. I'm not going to do much here at least until my vacation kicks in. Onikage725 21:22, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Heh thats excatally what I did. I took a wiki-break during my vacation. DBZROCKSIts over 9000!!! 21:44, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

- Heh, probably smart. Still, there is way too much going on during the normal daily grind to deal with some of this during all that. If I'm going to do anything productive, during a little quiet time is my best chance. Onikage725 22:17, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
English Names
[edit]I don't think what you are saying relates to what I am saying. All I want is for the names to be change to the English dub version (The ones English speakers are most familiar with). "Words" like Tenkaichi Budokai, Genki Dama, Bukujutsu, Gyarikku Hou, Kuririn, Jinzōningen, Kienzan, Zanzoken, Tsuihikidan, Kakusandan, Bankoku Bikkuri Sho, Mafuba, Yoiko Minmin Ken, Shin-Kikōhō, etc. are unfamiliar to most english speakers; they are more familiar with the english dub forms. I think that the english dub names should be used first while the japanese names should be mentioned in parentheses next to the english dub names. I never watched any other anime except Dragonball Z, so I'm afraid I can't really relate to anything else.--Lucky Mitch 06:48, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Dragon Ball Z. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. Thank you. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 20:04, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- Please do not re-include that fancruft before the discussion(s) on the talk page finish. Wikipedia isn't the place where fans can put whatever they like without references. Wait until we reach an agreement on the talk page. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 20:21, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Dragon Ball Z
[edit]I have left a comment on the talk page, explaining more clearly what I meant. Have a nice day!--SJP 03:09, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Re: DB manga article
[edit]Well, if you will revert back, may you at least re-add the sourced data I placed and really keep it to the main genres/categories per WP:MOS-MANGA#Content? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 22:00, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- How's it look? No hard feelings, right? Guess I've learned my lesson, never act on my own. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 00:28, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Daizenshu
[edit]Well I have come to my sense since my last post. I have come to a agreement with myself to except Daizenshū references but only if it is completely referenced and not like something for example on Goku's page in references where it says "Toei Doga in Daizenshū #7, and in the "DBGT Perfect File" book". No page number or a quote. This is where i believe someone just put it up there because they got it from someone else by here say without a complete reference. So in order for me and I hope others to fell it's a true reference the editors need to have the volume they want to use or at less have the page number and a quote.Heat P (talk) 00:29, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- Not to intrude, but there's one at Saiyan Saga, and Tenshinhan's page. The people who are putting these up are likely making them up as they edit. The refs should either be removed or {{page number}} and/or {{ISBN}} may be placed next to these. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 01:27, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- Requesting page numbers for verifiability purposes may be a good idea. A number of members of the Daizex forums actually do own various volumes of the Daizenshuu. They could likely be consulted for page numbers and quotes (and they often love an opportunity to throw up some scans of their collectibles). Onikage725 (talk) 01:35, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- It'd be great if you could grab some Daizenshū pages. I think Folken de Fanel said there were 300+. PS: does Steve J. Simmons or VegettoEX work on that site? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 02:07, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- I haven't seen Steve Simmons on the foums (doesn't mean he isn't there, but not to my knowledge). Mike/VegettoEX runs the site and participates in the forums. His co-runner Julian is very good at Japanese (studies it at the college level and lived there for a bit too- might stillbe there, I'm not sure). They actually just did a giveaway of Daizenshuu 2. Castor Troy is on the forums there. I dunno if you remember his old site 3G (Ginga Giri Gir), but he used to have Daizenshuu scans up. A few of the other forum posters also own the Daizenshuu and/or Dragon Box DVD sets, and are usually pretty good at posting screen caps. By way of example, someone hosted these- http://img189.imageshack.us/my.php?image=daizenshuupowerlevels18ah.jpg and http://img48.imageshack.us/img48/2931/yehbiatch7zt.jpg, power levels from the french translation of Daizenshuu 7. I know we aren't doing power levels, that's just an example. Actually, let me ask, but Folken might have some of the French releases (France didn't get the complete set, but they did get a number of them officially released, and having them in a roman alphabet is helpful for verification). - I've seen those images at Dragon Ball wiki. Are you still partaking in the discussion at Talk:Dragon Ball? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 03:02, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hello ! So in France, only the Daizenshû #1 and #7 were published, and #7 is the most informative of them. I have #7 in french.Folken de Fanel (talk) 11:29, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
