de-orphaning is unlikely to be successful

Hi there, I appreciate your recent edits to an article I created. I just read the orphan article on Wikipedia and at the moment I highly doubt that de-orphaning will be successful at the moment. As an experienced editor what could you suggest for de-orphaning an article without linking to a Wikipedia live space article? And the page said that I could remove tag if de-orphaning would likely be unsuccessful but I'm just making sure if I won't get banned or blocked for removing a template.

Today, I de-orphaned article B major SA that was created August 10th. Tagged as orphan next day after created. My suggestion would be to allow 4 or 5 days before tagging. Regards, JoeNMLC (talk) 12:16, 11 August 2024 (UTC)

Well you know how it is, the backlog grows and grows and then sometimes drives get it down a bit. I don't fault you for getting burnt out, though. Okinawa Prefecture vs Okinawa Island

I don't much think that IJN ships had much cause to visit the prefecture, but rather more the island and its naval facilities. You've improperly disambiguated several as traveling to the prefecture and I'd appreciate it if you could fix them. Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 21:13, 30 August 2024 (UTC)

I haven't improperly disambiguated any. The redirect goes to the prefecture, and when the context was ambiguous, I always AGF of the original editor, and point to the original target. If you feel that the original target is not the correct one, feel free to make the change. If I simply reverted my edits, guess what, the link would go to the prefecture. But I thank you for the guidance, and if I do any more changes regarding this, if it deals with an IJN ship, I'll select the island. Onel5969 ^{TT me} 21:41, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
