[edit]Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Zionism. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Hertz1888 (talk) 19:02, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Problems with upload of File:Iraqwar-widowspic-1with-children.jpg

License tagging for File:Samer.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Samer.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 03:08, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Samer.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Samer.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jack1956 (talk) 17:52, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

Bab Ballad
[edit]Hi, You recently uploaded a new image ('Bab') over an already existing image. I have reverted your image to the original. You may want to reupload your image under a different file name. Dreamspy (talk) 19:39, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
- Please stop reverting the 'Bab' image to your upload. You will need to upload your image under a different file name to avoid wiping the original image. If you continue to do so I will list your image (obviously a screencapture) for deletion. Dreamspy (talk) 21:49, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
- One more revert will get you blocked! Dreamspy (talk) 21:51, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Basically per Future Perfect, below. Please read our copyright policy. This behavior is a serious matter and your talk page is full of warnings about it. TNXMan 02:12, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
That is not the issue. I know you are the owner of the Flickr account "omartle" (confirmed here). The reason for this block is that you were using this Flickr account for "Flickr washing". You uploaded images on Flickr that weren't your own, and then uploaded them here citing your Flickr accounts as allged proof that they were yours. Among the photographs hosted there, at least this is from [1], this is from [2], and this (which you uploaded on WP as this) is from [3], i.e. Getty Images. Fut.Perf. ☼ 00:16, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Files from Flickr
[edit]I got a Flickr mail from Flickr user "omatle" confirming that the person behind that Flickr account is the same person as the one using this account on Wikipedia. So we do not need permission for files from that Flickr account (unless ofcourse they are originally from some other webpage). --MGA73 (talk) 20:46, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- We have to assume they are all stolen from other sites. As I said above (and, interestingly, Omarlegend just tried to delete again), that Flickr account was systematically used for Flickr washing, so it can't serve as a source for anything. Fut.Perf. ☼ 21:11, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- He's also apparently been trying to further cover his tracks by shifting his Flickr account from "omartle" to "omatle" (which has only a single file so far). Silly tricks. Fut.Perf. ☼ 21:23, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
