Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that Exfoliating Mitt, a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Exfoliating mitt

[edit]

Hi! I saw that this page was nominated for deletion - it wasn't deleted, but there is a proposal to merge the article with the main one on the topic, Italy towel. My recommendation is to copy and paste the material over - I can help with this if you like. I also have the following notes:

  • Don't make any absolute statement about what the mitt can or can't do - this can honestly be subjective to the reader. For example, someone may agree that the mitt is effective at exfoliating while another person would say that it doesn't. We can say that proponents and sellers of the mitt make these claims, but it can't be written in Wikipedia's voice.
  • Subjective statements in general should be avoided, as even something like saying that the mitt is common would be relative to the person reading the page. For example, another country could have another product that is more common in their homes.
  • We cannot address the reader directly via things like "you" (see this for more information) - the passive voice should be used instead.
  • This needs more sourcing to back up claims in general.

I can help with the re-writing, if you would like. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 01:00, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
