Your VandalProof Application

Dear Oliver202,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that not enough mainspace edits. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. I confess I'm not very familiar with the game, and I've played The Sims 2 only once. I'll still look over periodically though. Bibliomaniac15 23:20, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, and next time, consider writing your discussions in a separate section by pressing the plus sign next to edit this page. I'll put our talks on a separate section. bibliomaniac15 21:16, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Most ironic edit ever

From your edit on the adminship nomination candidate list:

    • Clenup Taskforce

I'd have nominated you if it wasn't for that, lol. Robocracy 05:11, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Cleanup Taskforce on The Sims 2

Why are the Cleanup Taskforce and In Use banners on The Sims 2? I don't see any additional rationale on the cleanup page, and the only edit I've seen made is one that deleted the opening part of the infobox, making the page look horrible. That was half an hour ago. I hope you're editing and fixing it as I write, because if it remains as it is for too much longer, I'm going to ignore the in use tag, seeing as how I wouldn't think a conscientious editor would leave a blooper like that for more than a minute. --Carl (talk|contribs) 19:55, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

RfA

Don't be discouraged. Candidates for administrator need to have evidence that they have experience with Wikipedia policy and administrative-like tasks. You should do what you are interested in, participate when you come across things or if you find something good and if it happens to be in areas where admin tools would be helpful, someone will notice and nominate you. —Centrxtalk • 20:07, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Edit summaries

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. feydey 22:26, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
