[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Hencyclopædia Britannica", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because It is misleading in relation to Encyclopædia Britannica, that differs by a single letter from your username.. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. - Hello - that's a valid point. Is there any way of finding out usernames that aren't already taken? Thanks Hencyclopædia Britannica (talk) 15:32, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
- When you try to create a user, it tells you if it is taken or close. You can also look at Global account information. I am sure there are other ways to find it, but this is what I know.--Eostrix (🦉 hoot hoot🦉) 16:01, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
- Ace, thank you - all done now. Took inspiration from your username and picked an extinct primitive owl that was available. Thanks for your help! Oligostrix (talk) 11:22, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
- You are welcome, brother. Or cousin? Us Protostrigidae stick together.--Eostrix (🦉 hoot hoot🦉) 11:24, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
