Theoi.com

[edit]

Hi Old bay is my religion, just a heads-up, the website Theoi.com isn't generally considered a WP:reliable source on Wikipedia. Though it may seem quite reliable, its pages can often contain problematic information, or misrepresentations of ancient sources. I've, for now, replaced that reference at Apollo with a citation to a standard reference work. Regards, Michael Aurel (talk) 20:14, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, thanks for letting me know! I'll keep an eye out and be more careful with sourcing in the future. Old bay is my religion (talk) 20:31, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No worries at all. If you're unsure where to find the sorts of ancient texts which Theoi quotes, resources such as the Perseus Digital Library and Loeb Classical Library can be helpful. – Michael Aurel (talk) 21:35, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
