Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Jennifer Government: NationStates

[edit]

Though I wasn't the editor who reverted your edits to Jennifer Government: NationStates, I'll urge you to leave the section out. While you'll find a lot of information on Wikipedia, we aren't a news source and don't include updates on trivial events. We do include updates on some non-trivial events—for example, you'll find information about the so-called "Corrupted Blood plague incident" in our article on World of Warcraft as well as its own separate article—but what classifies these events as "non-trivial" is that they're widely reported in reliable, third-party published sources. (The Corrupted Blood plague incident was covered by Wired and BBC News.) If the "Revolution" in Jennifer Government: NationStates gains notability after being reported in quality sources, we can add it into the article. Cheers! Your recent editing history at Jennifer Government: NationStates shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Wikipedia Help Survey

[edit]

Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.

Thank you for your time,

Hey! Based on your edits to NationStates, I thought maybe you would be interested that I started a series of userboxes for the game. Feel free to add any or add your own!-🐦Do☭torWho42 () 06:15, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
