Hello, thanks for writing this article! I’ve just read it and I’m a bit concerned that it has no citations. That worries me since without proof that this person is notable, meaning covered enough in media to write a fair article on them, the article may get deleted.

Are there any reliable sources (ones not written by or for this person) you can add? If so just edit the article and add citations using the cite tool, or if you have any thoughts or questions just let me know. Blythwood (talk) 05:03, 28 August 2016 (UTC)

Hello Blythwood many thanks for your suggestions. I have cited all the facts in this article with reliable secondary sources including the Australian Dictionary of Biography. I was actually experimenting with "creating an article" direct from the red link (rather than drafting in the sandbox first). ALT1 ... that Australia's premier rock photographer, Tony Mott, has had more than 30,000 photographs published in 20 countries, including 900 magazine covers?

– personal circumstances kept me providing further input to the discussion, regrettable as I could have addressed the issues raised (as follows)

1.No mention of “20 countries” in article – response: I thought I had included this in the section “Photographic output” where the hook was attributed correctly to the article in SL Magazine (source 1). I have now inserted “20 countries” to complete the hook and made the referencing more explicit.

2.The referencing for "premier" (ie. Australia’s premier rock photographer) is incorrect, with the wrong author being given for one item, which as the catalogue of Mott's work is dubious as a source for this anyway)

Response: I appreciate the comment and have fixed the referencing.

The first reference for “premier” was correctly attributed to SL Magazine; the second reference to premier from the exhibition catalogue was attributed to Louise Tegart (main author) and should have been attributed to Alex Byrne who wrote the introduction – an oversight (now corrected)

I believe the exhibition catalogue is a reliable source, but I have now included two additional sources to support the claim of Mott as Australia’s “premier” rock photographer and a “leading worldwide exponent” from: 1.Australian Broadcasting Corporation/ John Donegan: “one of the world’s pre-eminent rock photographers”; and 2.Daily Telegraph/ Elizabeth Fortescue: “Australia’s premier rock and roll photographer”. Similar statements can be found in other sources.

The subject is well documented in published sources (newspapers and music magazines inparticular) and I have used these wherever possible to provide factual material – there should no inappropriate external links. Odysseus voyage14 (talk) 02:08, 8 February 2017 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to James Mathers (missionary). I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!
