ok, angrygotfan has over 7000 twitter followers. The official game of thrones casting website www.winteriscoming.net features his tweets quite often. Is there a different category where I can post about angrygotfan.com on wiki? One that recognizes it might not be "notable"? Oberynsparamour (talk) 16:33, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
- For this type of content, is there an article on the Game of Thrones Wikia site? --McDoobAU93 17:23, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
No. Game of Thrones wiki is not canon. We only follow the canon. Thanks for your help Oberynsparamour (talk) 18:17, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of AngryGoTFan

- I'm adding some other content on SkaterLife's talk page that may help. I'm also a Teahouse host and can help as needed. --McDoobAU93 15:55, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
Let's move the discussion here so we can keep from filling up SkaterLife's talk page. What you're describing could go towards establishing notability ... if the sites that include them are also deemed notable. Wikipedia is very wary of fan-sites and personal blogs, or more generally user-generated content. Fans are very passionate about their hobbies, and tend to look at things from a potentially-biased point of view, which is problematic from an encyclopedia, which tries to be balanced in its presentation. As I said earlier, a discussion of the website from a newspaper or magazine, something like an article entitled "Game of Thrones is not without its detractors" that would appear in Variety or Entertainment Weekly and giving extensive discussion of this and other websites critical of GoT, would go a long way toward establishing notability. --McDoobAU93 16:10, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Seems that even though the twitter account is quite well recognized, it wont be "notable" enough which is strange since I see all kinds of ridiculous stuff on wiki Oberynsparamour (talk) 16:27, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
- No doubt, which is why we have WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS, which basically says the existence of potentially non-notable articles on Wikipedia is not justification for another one. But let's expand on your statement of "the twitter account is quite well recognized" ... recognized by who, for example? --McDoobAU93 16:30, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
