Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aban ibn Said, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 08:30, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Al Birr requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 19:19, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Removing AfD template

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Aban ibn Said. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot I NotifyOnline 19:13, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Admin qualification

[edit]

I notice that, apart from your disruptive editing which you have been warned about, you also made an ill-considered and ill-formed attempt to self-nominate for admin responsibility. Please note that to become an admin you have to earn the trust of the community, which includes not only editing in a sensible and responsible manner, but also requires a significant amount of experience here; the amount of experience can depend on circumstances, but presence here for at least six months and creation of about 5,000 good edits is a reasonable amount to aim for.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 22:10, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Aban ibn Said

[edit]

Information icon A tag has been placed on Aban ibn Said requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's discussion directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of recreating the page. Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 08:15, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Recent Moves

[edit]

Salam alaikum man, you will notice that I reverted some of your recent page moves. It's not due to opposition to said changes per se, but generally the naming conventions on Islamic-themed articles have a measure of disagreement (transliteration vs. common spellings vs. uncommon spellings, etc.). I learned this way as well; I moved some pages thinking the new names would be better and was quickly reverted, then found that consensus was actually against what I thought was a more logical title. Per WP:CRITERIA, consensus is generally the way to go when there is more than one possible title.
Here is my suggestion: open a discussion regarding the naming issue on the talk pages of the articles in question. There are forums where the discussion can be publicized in order to gain more feedback. This is a topic where, based on experience, I can say you will find others interested in the article names.
If you need help doing any of that, I am happy to help, time permitting. No hard feelings, right? MezzoMezzo (talk) 03:39, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves again

[edit]

You simply must start a discussion before moving pages. The spelling "Muqattwa 'Aat" seems to hardly exist in English sources, which is what we use, see WP:COMMONNAME. In the future, start a move request using the procedure at Wikipedia:Requested moves. You've been told about this before, so if you continue it might be considered disruptive editing and lead to a block. Dougweller (talk) 09:04, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ANI discussion

More questionable page moves

[edit]

It looks like you have been warned about your page moves before. In addition to the questionable pages moves already mentioned, you have also moved the pages Innaa Lillaahi Wa Innaa Ilayhi Raaji'oon and Jazakallaah, again using your own non-standard "system" of transliteration. Your work will hopefully be reverted. As has been mentioned before, moving of pages is done by consensus, and is not something an individual should undertake to do on his own. Thank you for refraining from any more page moves.--Akhooha (talk) 18:52, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
