Your changes on page Lal Krishna Advani
[edit]Hi NubKnacker, regarding your changes, I wanted to discuss with you the change you made listing "Leader of opposition" as a post in the Government. Usually, the leader of the opposition is not considered to be a member of the government. That is restricted to the Prime minister and the cabinet. Do let me know what you think ! :-)

[edit]sorry about this. I thought it was good to start with the web page and edit it up a bit and simplify it later.
I Should have done all that off-line really. Sorry bit new to all this. Could you make it a stub, and I will work off line to make some original euler diagram page ?

Testing stuff out
[edit]You might want to try stuff out in the Wikipedia:Sandbox instead of creating new pages. Just a tip. Welcome to Wikipedia. --Barista | a/k/a マイケル | T/C 08:46, 7 August 2005 (UTC)
- To work on a new sig, check this out. It tells how to customize your sig in MediaWiki software (e.g. Wikipedia, Wikitionary, etc). It might take a few trys to get right, but it should help out. I was even able to incorporate Unicode in mine. Good luck. --Barista | a/k/a マイケル | T/C 08:56, 7 August 2005 (UTC)
Sig editing
[edit]Sure thing! There's a link called "preferences" in the upper right side of your screen. Click that, and then in the field marked "Nickname", type whatever you want to show up when you sign your name. Mine is May the Force be with you! Shreshth91($ |-| r 3 $ |-| t |-|) . Then check the box labeled "raw signatures". Yours doesn't need to be complex; alot of people just do something like Username (talk). To do that, just put NubKnacker (talk) . It will automatically add the time/date stamp. Hope that helps, and any other questions, let me know! --May the Force be with you! Shreshth91($ |-| r 3 $ |-| t |-|) 14:18, 8 August 2005 (UTC)
Thank you...

Vandalism reversion
[edit]Thanks. Jayjg (talk) 22:30, 9 August 2005 (UTC)
Hi, I think you have confused me with the unsigned comment directly below this. I don't know anything about Platypus Rex; I was referring to your vandalism reversion on Right of return. Jayjg (talk) 14:45, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
Unsigned comment
[edit]Dear Gaurav Arora,
I am getting very aggravated at all of these annoying claims that I am making up the information on the Platypus Rex page. Jyaus is nothing more than a vandalizer who is trying to bring down the credibility of Wikipedia. Now you are coming to me asking for my sources. Don't play with me. I know that you question my information, but I remind you that you are making these assumptions based on one man's ridiculous claims. However, I trust your judgement more than that lying dirtbag, Jyaus, so enclosed in this letter is a picture of where I obtained the information. It is the biography of Platypus Rex written by Arthur Caldwell. The book contains the career of Platypus Rex and I have paraphrased contents of the book onto the Wikipedia Platypus Rex page.

About removing Royal Rumble
[edit]The reason I am trying to remove it, is because all the info is already on this page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Rumble
- Not all the information is there. Moreover, you should change Royal Rumble 2004 and link to it from the main article rather than the other way round. Remember, recommended page size is 32kb. Also, do register and login so we can be sure it's not a vandal attempt in the future.

Platypus Rex Credibility
[edit]Dear NubKnacker,
I was the one who sent you the picture of the Platypus Rex biography. In a message you mentioned that I should contact someone if the vandalism of the page continued. May I ask, who and how to I contact to prevent further vandalism to the page? Thanks.
--Killertunes 08:19, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
- Also on the Platypus Rex page, I stated your support for the credibility of the information. If possible, could you please reinstate your support? In addition, can you help us keep an eye on the page to prevent people such as Jyaus and others from further deletion of contents? Much support from as many people will help us keep the page intact and protected from vile intruders such as the people I stated above, and would be greatly appreciated. Reply back as soon as possible. Thanks again.
Platypus Rex
[edit]Dear NubKnacker,
Thank you for your help. We will take this to the administrator's asap. As for your request, there actually is no website containing official info. concerning Platypus Rex, which is why the book was such a fortunate find. The only suggestion I have for you to view this information, is to perhaps check your library, or maybe eBay. Thanks again for your support.
--Killertunes 09:05, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
Dear NubKnacker,
I am an actual member of the band Platypus Rex. I've been trying to keep the entry accurate (our bassist was Time's Man of the Year? Our drummer appeared in a non-existant spinoff of Friends? I myself am dead? None of these are true, and the first one should be obvious.) Killertunes may have included a photograph of an alleged biography of the band, but no such book exists (which is, of course, why he's referred you to eBay; the book is not for sale), and he has yet to provide any other citation besides a photograph of a book cover. He also deleted this message from this page the first time I posted it, presumably to keep you from noticing it.
I (or any of the band) will be happy to provide you with any information in any medium you desire to verify the authenticity of my entry; the band's Web page (www.platypusrex.org) is an obvious start.

TLC edit
[edit]Hey,
I had no idea I was editing the content on the TLC page...and can't believe I would even be allowed to edit it. I wanted to use a specific part of that page for a class I teach, and saw the "Edit" button. To save paper, I edited to what I needed, and printed it....never imagining I had edited the actual page, if in fact I did edit the actual page.
Sorry, no vandalism here. I won't do it again.
Barry

Editing message from you
[edit]Hi there. I admit I don't have an account, but I am fairly new to this Wiki thing, and have, in the past made small edits like correcting typos and the like.
In the case of the Online Casino page in question, I felt like I was doing something similar to correcting a typo, albeit a much larger one.
After following the external links in the Blacklists section of that document, I noticed that there is not one refernce to GoldenPalace.com in any of them, and therefore questioned the validity of their mention in the text above.
Please let me know if there is another way I should be going about editing, and I will gladly do it. I really get annoyed at reading anything inaccurate on the net (most of all here, where the information has always impressed me as being so accurate and thorough).
Thanks for sending me that message, as I was wondering why my edit didn't stick. Please let me know how I can correct this.

Vandalism
[edit]Please stop claiming it is vandalism when I removed a table that was added after the fact to a message I left on the user's talk page. kk thx Espantajo 10:21, 13 August 2005 (UTC)
- I'm referring to a message you left me asking me to stop vandalizing User talk:Erekrose. If you look at both her and my talk pages i think youll agree neither is to be taken seriously. Espantajo 00:59, 14 August 2005 (UTC)
Mathbot's page
[edit]Hi. Thank you for the quick reversion of my blancketing of User:Mathbot/Page1. This shows that vandalism reversion is working well, and that is a good news.
But just for the record, I was not vandalizing that page. Rather, it was my bot's page which I used for previewing some work I do on the list of mathematicians, and when I did not need that scratch page anymore I made the page blank.
Next time I will pay attention and put an edit summary. Thanks again for the quick response. Oleg Alexandrov 21:54, 13 August 2005 (UTC)
It's from a credible source.
[edit]A person is not required to register with Wikipedia to edit. Furthermore, I sourced my edit. It came from the German Islamic journal, Die Welt des Islams.
[1] Traboulsi, Samer. Die Welt des Islams, Nov2002, Vol. 42 Issue 3, p373, 43p; (AN 9117682)
None of the biography's original claims are substantiated or sourced. But rather, the journal (which was published by Princeton University) explains why much of the claims about Wahhab's early life are uncredible. And finally, you reverted some necessary edits, which were removing some of the links at the bottom, which don't work.
"When someone makes an edit you consider biased or inaccurate, improve the edit, rather than reverting it."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Resolving_disputes#Avoidance
It was requested that the article be cleaned up, and some suggested removing the biography section completely. Please, explain why you did the reverts on the talk page. Tell me what was inaccurate about my edits. Because doing a large edit on an article requested to be cleaned up is not against the rules. 69.138.24.96 15:02, 14 August 2005 (UTC)
I was going to write a message about it after I'd done it (which I have done now). There weren't any active disputes about the article, other than that it was agreed to be a POV, inaccurate, and needing change.
Now that it's mentioned on the discussion page, would you mind if I returned my edits? 69.138.24.96 15:19, 14 August 2005 (UTC)
thanks!

[edit]Hi NubKnacker,
You have made remarkable contribution to this article. You have also added a number of images at the end of the article. It would be nice if you could write captions for all the images.TIA Gaurav1146 05:06, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
Online Casino page edit.
[edit]Hi! Thanks for your help getting me set up as a registered user. I'm happy to see that the part of the text on the Online Casino page in the Blacklists area has been edited out. That's all I really wanted to do in the first place.
thanks again.

KPS Gill
[edit]You added "K.P.S. Gill has also been banned from certain countries like UK on the charge that he was responsible for the ethnic cleansing of Punjab in the 1990's." to the KPS Gill. I've left it in for the moment, but could you provide a couple of sources? Simple Google searches aren't showing anything. Sukh | ਸੁਖ | Talk 17:57, 16 August 2005 (UTC)

re Cellular Diagnostics
[edit]I have submitted the article on Cellular Diagnostics, and I am under the impression that I have the right to edit or delete this article. It does state: "You are welcome to edit this article, but please do not blank, merge, or move this article, or remove this notice while the discussion is in progress..."

1984 Anti-Sikh riots
[edit]nubknacker, given your encyclopedic knowledge about the riots, can you please add a section on the origins of the riots, as to why did people suddenly decide to descend on sikhs and commit the grisly acts? It is essential for the layman to know some background. Soujourner
