Festival Internacional Cervantino

Hi! Students of the Club Wikipedia at ITESM CCM and I are working on a project to create and improve articles related to the Festival Internacional Cervantino. We are still organizing although we have made some good contacts with embassy of the special guest-countries and the press people of the Festival. Ive worked on the Festival's page and two participants' pages Angereds Teater and Åke Parmerud as well as the European Festival Association to which the festival belongs. It hasnt been easy so far, even the Festival page is no where near where Id like it to be and a lot of that is finding info. That's where we hope working with the embassies and making other contacts will help. *Fingers crossed* These articles also desperately need images, another focus of the project. Anyway, we could sure use some experienced hands at this, as most Club members are still newbies at editing Wikipedia. We want the Festival's article in as many languages as possible, as as many of the participants' pages in both English and Spanish.

Tabbouleh and ARPBIA

As you one that added the tag to the Tabbouleh article .Could you please explain you rationale at WP:AE and why do you think there are connection to the conflict.Thank you--Shrike (talk) 15:30, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Its unfortunate, but there has been a long-term problem with middle eastern food articles being used for political fodder (see Hummus & Friends subsection). Za'atar[1], Falafel[2], Hummus, Tabbouleh, Israeli Salad[3], and Lentil soup have been battlegrounds with editors fighting over things like the inclusion of certain photos because they were taken in Israel or were of Jewish products an/or added by Jewish editors[4][5][6]. There have even been disagreements over the inclusion of middle eastern food products (like Tabbouleh) in the Israeli Wikiproject[7]. So in short, since middle eastern food have been historically used as political battlegrounds, this is why I added ARBPIA tag to the article. -- nsaum75 ^{!Dígame¡‎} 04:04, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Repeated, childish crap like this has dissuaded me from participating in AE or articles relating to the middle east. In fact, have not edited article space in that subject area in over a year due to this kind of harassment on and off wiki, and I doubt any commentary I make at AE will have any impact on the issue being raise.
