A tag has been placed on Rawan Damen, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. —teb728 t c 09:12, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rawan Damen

  • Hi, thanks for message. You can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. I deleted your article because
  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, or they will be deleted. I looked at your external links to see if they were suitable as refs, but Twitter, YouTube and Facebook obviously don't meet the criteria.
  • It was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: unique strength... received several Arab and international awards... Awards & Honors (no sources)... produced and directed many...
  • The commentary on her series seems to be soapboxing a particular view of history as established fact, rather than just saying what issues she covered. just one example out of several To live pain and be a part of the Palestinian, and at the same time carry Israeli passport and deal with Israeli citizenship? Equation that was not understood by the Arab world and unfortunately official and non-official institutions dealt with them with a kind of normalization with Israel, as on the grounds that they hold Israeli citizenship, which was the price for staying inside. That reached sometimes to accuse them and mistrust them. — how is this neutral encyclopaedic content?
  • I don't know what the standards are on Arabic Wikipedia, but although your article is obviously based on that version, it doesn't meet the criteria here.
