- tks for the welcome. I do have a question. I've been drafting a new page (I learn by doing so not stressed if it gets rejected) and the following comes up:
- Cite error: The named reference
:1
was invoked but never defined (see the help page).
- Cite error: The named reference
- For some reason all my citations appear in an early section, while the above message appears in the reference section.
- I have noticed some articles on this but they seem to refer mainly to those that use the source code. I'm using visual.
- How do I fix this?
- cheers

[edit]Hi Notso Stupid! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay.
The rule that affects you most as a new or IP editor is the prohibition on making any edit related to the Arab–Israel conflict unless you are logged into an account and that account is at least 30 days old and has made at least 500 edits.
This prohibition is broadly construed, so it includes edits such as adding the reaction of a public figure concerning the conflict to their article or noting the position of a company or organization as it relates to the conflict.
The exception to this rule is that you may request a specific change to an article on the talk page of that article or at this page. Please ensure that your requested edit complies with our neutral point of view and reliable sourcing policies, and if the edit is about a living person our policies on biographies of living people as well.
Any edits you make contrary to these rules are likely to be reverted, and repeated violations can lead to you being blocked from editing. As you get started, you may find this short tutorial helpful:

- Please note the WP:ER process, particularly the uncontroversial aspect. — xDanielx T/C\R 07:21, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
- In that light, I removed your latest reply which had clearly gone way beyond an edit request. Please don't make such comments again, but instead stick to edit requests only. If your edit request is rejected, it's up to EC editors to take it up if they feel there is something there worth discussing or not. Do not take an editor reply in a way that seems to invite followup as justification for you to reply further since you and no one else is responsible for what you do here nor can you expect editors to know whether you're violating ECR.
