Good luck with the copyedit, it was not something that was very high on my list of things to do; but much of the hypobole could be removed and it would improve the article. hello notreallydavid. i read your edits on hunter scott--the acclaimed catalyst of the exoneration of mcvay. Do you know him? I have heard him speak before and he is a very religious person.
Thanks for your note
[edit]Hello Notreallydavid. I just wanted to say thanks for your note. Yes I have read Ackroyd's work and would agree with your assessment of it (actually your words could apply to all of his writings, His biography of Dicken's is a favorite of mine). I would say that D&D was written for the stage and, therefore, not meant to be as deep and penmetrating as "Last Testament...'. But that is just me being a bit defensive since it was D&D that inspired a life long interest in Wilde. Price performed it at two different theaters here in Denver in the late 1970's and I was lucky enough to see it four different times and I was moved by it each time (it might be something do, in part, with my being at just the age where Wilde's skewering of middle class morality was so apropos to the world that I was growing up in). When I read of Sinden's performance I wondered what it must have been like. As a yank I have only ever seen his sitcoms but I would imagine that his deep, rich voice had fun with the words of Mr Gay's play. In the summer of 2001 I was able to contact Mr Gay as it had been so long since I had seen D&D I was curious how much of my memories of it had become clouded over the years. He was kind enough to send me a copy. I read it aloud each year on Oscar's birthday, though I don't really do it justice. Once again many thanks and happy editing here at wikipedia. Minor?
[edit]Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Qwfp (talk) 15:51, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

OER inquiry
[edit]Hi Notreallydavid, I'm sending you this message because you're one of about 300 users who have recently edited an article in the umbrella category of open educational resources (OER) (or open education). In evaluating several projects we've been working on (e.g. the WIKISOO course and WikiProject Open), my colleague Pete Forsyth and I have wondered who chooses to edit OER-related articles and why. Regardless of whether you've taken the WIKISOO course yourself - and/or never even heard the term OER before - we'd be extremely grateful for your participation in this brief, anonymous survey before 27 April. No personal data is being collected. If you have any ideas or questions, please get in touch. My talk page awaits. Thanks for your support! - Sara FB (talk) 20:45, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. I have an edit request on the Talk page there and I was wondering if you would be kind enough to weigh in. A source is being misused and the statements are not backed up by the study. It would be great to hear your take on this if you have a few minutes. Thanks for the help. SBCornelius (talk) 20:18, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
