Wars involving Afghanistan
[edit]Hello Noorullah. There has been persistant edit warring over the page "Wars involving Afghanistan" under the result of "The Second Anglo-Afghan War". I noticed that from researching, the British were planning a military withdrawal long before the treat of gandamak took place. Furthermore, it states the British failed to meet their objective of keeping a British resident in Kabul so based on their initial objectives, not all were met so is it not fair to state that the afghans had a tactical victory from this? My wish was to just have "Treat of Gandamak" as the result which would outline both parties' wishes and the aggreement as both did benefit from this aggreement in some form. The Russians did not want to have influence in Afghanistan when the British got involved so the Afghans could only have british protection by the end of the ordeal, so a subsidy and military withdrawal and adding to the prevention of a british resident in kabul (initial aim of britsh to have internal influence within the country) was denied, would make sense to write the result as the treaty. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Foonta (talk • contribs) 03:20, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
- Noorullah21, the editor above is a banned user. It's important that you don't make any edits on their behalf as that is considered editing by proxy and could ultimately lead to the same sanctions on your account as editing on their behalf means that you are taking full responsibility for the accuracy of those edits.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:41, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
- I understand that @Ponyo, I did recognize that they were a banned user, hence I ignored them. Noorullah21 (talk) 20:41, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for the notice however. @Ponyo Noorullah21 (talk) 20:41, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
- Great. Just wanted to make sure you were aware. You can remove this whole section if you'd like.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:43, 11 January 2022 (UTC) Noorullah21 (talk) 14:35, 25 January 2022 (UTC)

About Timur Shah
[edit]Why you all glorify Timur victory soo much apart from battle of Rohtas which was against Bhangi Misl he lost most of battles against sikh in battle of Amritsar battle of Sialkot and many battle he has more number of soldiers then sikh and I know he is very capable ruler but this too much you can't make excuses in his deafeates even he lost battle against Mahadaji Shinde in his peak Daredevils56 (talk) 05:18, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
I moved The History of Afghanistan... main citation to references, changed it from a cite journal to cite book and filled in the ref. Everything seems to work OK. You might want to double check it. Let me know if there's any problems. I was wondering why when I clicked on the link, it went to the wrong page. The citation was for that page and the other {{sfn}}
s must have been tacked on later. Is there a way to setup an sfn or something to link to a specific page rather then the base page? It might take some template magic. I changed the book's link to its cover page. So, hopefully, others won't be confused.
I wonder where Daredevils56 got his history. I suspect everyone's history is glorified and the rest swept under the rug. Timur Shah Durrani's too! Cheers Adakiko (talk) 08:09, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
Adakiko Hey, nice catch. I’ll try and double check it when I have time later, I’m currently doing stuff like Mapping the First Anglo Afghan War, chilling in Afghanistan (true story by the way), and yeah. So I’ll try to double check when I get back, might be a bit though. Noorullah21 (talk) 10:14, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- You are really located in Afghanistan? Not sure if I'm envious or horrified! I'd like to visit, just not right now. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 18:42, 25 July 2022 (UTC)

No, I am unaware of this person, however it seems like from their recent edit they were an Afghan nationalist vandalizing the third anglo afghan war page, probably the same guy who has been doing it for the past few weeks. Noorullah21 (talk) 21:13, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
Kansas Bear (talk) If I am not wrong, isn’t impersonation an offense on Wikipedia? It is clear someone is trying to impersonate me on said account. Noorullah21 (talk) 21:17, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- You are not wrong. You might let an Admin know of your impersonator. --Kansas Bear (talk) 21:19, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
Kansas Bear (talk) Thanks for letting me know, although I am currently not able to as my wifi is being really crappy today and I am just using my phone data, if you are able to submit a report for me against the user, that would be helpful, its fine if you wish to not do so. [edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Duranni dynasty, you may be blocked from editing. You aren't new, you must know about WP:V. Doug Weller talk 09:56, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Doug Weller How was what I did "disruptive editing", so much for "good faith". It is literally shown within Jonathan Lee's and Christine Noelle's books already referenced. Noorullah21 (talk) 17:13, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
- Disruptive because you haven’t actually sourced the changes in text. No editor can tell what text is sourced by which of the two you claim are the sources for your text. The references haven’t changed so for all I know the old text was accurate. See Help:Referencing for beginners. If the pages mentioned in the references back your text, you should be able to sort it out. Otherwise you are violating WP:VERIFY. Doug Weller talk 17:25, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Doug Weller I did change the sources in the text, right after I reverted it I did one for Fath Jang* here [1], and I was working on the rest. But you also reverted it right after as I was working on it.
- The work unsourced left from yesterday was going to be finished off today with sources (I did that relatively late at night), but regardless, dispute has been resolved and SFNS added as I was going to. Noorullah21 (talk) 17:43, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
- There would have been no problems if you’d sourced as you went along, but thanks. Doug Weller talk 17:47, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

Durrani dynasty
[edit]Is there a reason for individual references for each page? Instead why not {{sfn|Lee|2019|p=170-174}} ? And {{sfn|Lee|2019|p=174-176}}? Or am I missing something? --Kansas Bear (talk) 18:03, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
- That is my mistake, you can fix that if you wish. Noorullah21 (talk) 18:23, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
- Not a mistake, just a simplification. Not a big deal. You might consider copying the article to your sandbox and adding information and references that way? Stay safe Noorullah21! --Kansas Bear (talk) 18:34, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

Ghurid empire.
[edit]Hi. I saw your discussion in ghurid empires talk page. You are completely on point. If you have sources ( which i am sure you do) ,go ahead and make rightful changes. Now it is very one siden. You can contact other users too ,to support you. Thank you. Good luck. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.232.42.124 (talk) 17:16, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry what are you referring to? Noorullah21 (talk) 17:56, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
I am referring to inclusion of Afghans as a valid theory in the origins. Now it is very one sided and dismesses the Afghan thoery whilst many modren historiens believe otherwise. In talkpage discussion you had a very valid argument to why some "necessary" changes should be made in origins section.178.232.42.124 (talk) 19:00, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
