Speedy deletion nomination of JusTeach Foundation
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on JusTeach Foundation, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Dewritech (talk) 10:11, 4 May 2013 (UTC)

Important note for notability
[edit]I would guide you to WP:NOBLECAUSE - as important as the work your organization might do, this is a project with community-decided notability and sourcing guidelines. Also, if you are involved with the article, WP:COI says you should not be trying to create such article (✉→BWilkins←✎) 11:32, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
JusTeach Foundation
[edit]Hi, you can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. I deleted your article because
- it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines.
- It was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: provide education and skill development training to underprivileged and orphan children... over 100 volunteers... recruits from the International student community... To improve effectiveness of teaching... notable academicians...
- You have an obvious conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. Thank you for declaring your interest. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your organisation is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.
I can't see why this organisation is of more than local notability, and we are told about the service provided, but nothing concrete about outcomes Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:50, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
If you think you can establish notability, why not try to improve the deleted text which I've posted here Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:43, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
The more verifiable information you can give, the better. I think that the main problem you have is to establish notability, there are lots of voluntary organisations all round the world, and you need to have solid info to show why yours is notable enough for an encyclopaedia article.
