Your username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Draft:Niedax Group, and I noticed that your username, "NiedaxGroup", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Correction. User did not edit or create, but requested the undeletion of the draft. Jay 💬 15:25, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Jay, Thank you for your advice. I will adapt the username properly. I also did some amendments on the German post - do you know how long the review takes? NiedaxGroup (talk) 13:58, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Review takes a few days, sometimes it happens on the same day as the submission, but as this draft was already reviewed and changes will only be incremental, review should be faster. The draft does not use the same sources as the German article. Jay 💬 08:48, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Jay - It took some time for me to update also the sources, which is now done. CrisAtNiedaxGroup (talk) 16:32, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Good morning @UtherSRG, thank you for doing the review and your feedback. As I'm a newbie working with Wikipedia, I'm keen to learn and improve. Thank you also for the several WP links in the green box. As the company (disclaimer: I'm working for) has not so many external mentions YET - but we're working on it -, I'm wondering if it would be better to first start a Wikipedia entry and add additional sources over time, rather than not having a Wikipedia entry at all. Maybe you can have an advice?
Also there's already an existing Wikipedia entry in German language (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niedax_Group) that accepted the external sources accourding to the Wikipedia rules.
Regarding the peacock terms, I will revise and adjust where necessary.
Happy to get your feedback on this again - thanks! CrisAtNiedaxGroup (talk) 12:52, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Each language Wiki has its own set of policies and guidelines, so it matters not at all that the German Wiki has the article accepted. Also, we don't care about helping to promote a company; what we care about is what is written by independent, reliable sources that provide significant coverage of the topic, as listed at WP:SIRS. Failing that, there is no way to accept the draft. Do read WP:42 and WP:BACKWARD and understand what is being said there in full. As prescribed by WP:BACKWARD, I suggest gathering the required references first, and restarting the draft with information from those sources. If you can not find an appropriate set of sources, then you should abandon the draft and move on to something else. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:29, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
