User talk:Nid20
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Nid20, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.
There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
- Starting an article
- Your first article
- Biographies of living persons
- How to write a great article
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Help pages
- Tutorial
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! — Francophonie&Androphilie (Je vous invite à me parler) 22:47, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of User:Nid20
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Nid20, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. — Francophonie&Androphilie (Je vous invite à me parler) 22:47, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Nid20, you are invited to the Teahouse
[edit]Hi Nid20! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Your deleted user page
[edit]Sorry, but your deleted userpage will not be restored. Wikipedia is a project to build an encyclopedia, and that is all it is. It is not a web hosting service for school projects or other activities not connected with the encyclopedia. The user page guideline includes:
"Generally, you should avoid substantial content on your user page that is unrelated to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, so your user page is not a personal website. Your user page is about you as a Wikipedian, and pages in your user space should be used as part of your efforts to contribute to the project."
Please ask your course instructor to read this, and also to look at Wikipedia:School and university projects. Such projects are welcome, provided that they are to do with building the encyclopedia, and are properly prepared.
I have emailed you a copy of your page. There are many webhosting sites where you could post it: see WP:Alternative outlets. In particular Wikia will let you set up your own wiki, which does not look difficult - see their help page at http://community.wikia.com/wiki/Help:Start_a_new_wiki.
