This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://gorp.away.com/gorp/resource/us_nwr/de_prime.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. [edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 20:35, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Class 395 and Class 373 photo

[edit]

The photo you uploaded of a Class 395 and Class 373 to Commons has now been deleted by me because I suspect it to be a copyright violation. It appears to be a crop of an image here marked as Copyright LCR / Eddie Macdonald. If you are in fact in a position to release this image under a free license then I would apologise for this inconvenience and ask that you contact me to discuss this issue. Regards. Adambro (talk) 15:32, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Skis Rossignol. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Alanraywiki (talk) 15:31, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As noted above, please discontinue copying text directly from the Rossignol web site to Wikipedia. This is a copyright violation. Also, please add a reference if you are adding team members. Thanks, Alanraywiki (talk) 15:41, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article looks better now. I also made some additional changes. Thank you for making your changes and for expanding the article. Alanraywiki (talk) 19:11, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Neroyak/photos

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Neroyak/photos, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Beeblbrox (talk) 00:23, 22 August 2008 (UTC) Please do not delete neroyak/photos is the inteaded destionation for my photo uploads.[reply]

Neroyak, it looks like you accidentally put your subpage in the main article space. Try creating it again at User:Neroyak/photos instead of just Neroyak/photos. I did the same thing with my first subpage. Good luck, Alanraywiki (talk) 00:48, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Diggnationlive.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 18:31, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "Boredcast"

[edit]

A page you created, Boredcast, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a website, but it does not indicate how it is important or significant, and thus why it should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for websites in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thanks for uploading File:Jacob Wester.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 17:05, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed your entry there as you do not appear to have actually created the request - or at least I couldn't see it from your history. You might find the instructions here helpful! Pedro :  Chat  16:40, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You do in fact have an entry (now deleted) on the RfA page, but it was not made in correct form, and you added a "2" to your name. To avoid disappointment, it would be as well if you realised that admin status is earned on the basis of the quality, and to some extent the number, of your edits. It is expected that an admin will have contributed over a wide range of wiki areas, especially those related to admin work; it is also very unusual for any editor with less than 2,000 edits to their credit to be promoted. You at present only have 67. But if you continue to contribute costructively you will get there. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 16:58, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Colby James west.jpg

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Colby James west.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. dave pape (talk) 17:23, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Neroyak! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 54 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Charles Gagnier - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Your contributed article, Kingman (American horse)

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Kingman (American horse). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Kingman (horse). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Kingman (horse) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Redrose64 (talk) 22:16, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Still on Kingman, just wanted to reinforce my comment on the horse racing project page - I had no intention of making a personal criticism of you, just the nature of your edits - thank you for creating the new UK Kingman article, and you did absolutely the right thing by flagging it up on the horse racing project page. Hopefully you'll stick around and do more horse racing articles, we are always crying out for good contributors! --Bcp67 (talk) 08:18, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Adelaide (horse) may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Declaration of War (horse), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Magician. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:44, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File permission problem with File:Istabraq the horse.jpg.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Istabraq the horse.jpg.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:27, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
