When God Writes Your Love Story is a 1999 book by Eric and Leslie Ludy (pictured), an American married couple. After becoming a bestseller on the Christian book market, the book was republished in 2004 and then revised and expanded in 2009. It tells the story of the authors' first meeting, courtship, and marriage. The authors advise single people not to be physically or emotionally intimate with others, but to wait for the life partner that God has planned for them. The Ludys argue that one's love life should be both guided by and subordinate to one's relationship with God. Leslie writes that God offers new beginnings to formerly unchaste or sexually abused individuals. Leah Andrews of the Lewiston Morning Tribune compared When God Writes Your Love Story to other popular Christian books providing alternatives to dating, including Joshua Harris's I Kissed Dating Goodbye and Boy Meets Girl. American college professors Margaret and Dwight Peterson responded to the Ludys' book by writing an essay called "God Does Not Want to Write Your Love Story," in which the Petersons argue that the book makes young people see marriage as a fantasy comparable to that of Disney Princesses. Edits to When God Writes Your Love Story

Hey Neelix,

I made several changes to When God Writes Your Love Story and I'd like you to review them. I tried to fully explain in the edit summaries, but if you have any comments, please share them with me.

Also, I added two inline cleanup templates that I would like you to address. One is regarding the term "bitingly" which sounds inflammatory and unsourced based on the content in that section. The other is the source that claims the Petersons said that the lyrics to the song "Faithfully" sought "a kind of unachievable perfection in their future marriage and spouse." I checked the source on Google Books and it not mention the song at all. If you could review and deal with these two problems, that's be awesome.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that the article is going to be featured on Monday! That's amazing. Congrats on all your hard work, and I hope that my edits only built upon it. Obviously, if you don't log on between now and then, I will take care of the my two remaining issues so that we don't have any "issue" templates on a main page article.

Hey Neelix,

I'll be brief because I'm on my way to work. I still disagree with this edit because the Ludys did not suggest "a single should marry this person rather than independently choosing a mate" in the source. DeMoss claims that they did. If DeMoss claimed that the Ludys are trying to get kids to join the Illuminati, would that make it so because a secondary source is claiming it? No. Secondary sources cannot manufacture statements on behalf of the person they are reporting on. If you want to include this, you need to write it is follows: "In her book Lies Women Believe: And the Truth that Sets Them Free, Christian author Nancy Leigh DeMoss claimed that the Ludys suggest that a single should marry this person rather than independently choosing a mate."

Thanks for the tips regarding the Ellerslie employees. They contacted me, too. I don't think they were expecting an article by Ludy to be featured. ;) But my edits aren't promotional at all. The statement by DeMoss makes a declarative statement about the authors and I think you are misrepresenting the Ludys by including it without noting who actually made the suggestion. I just think that if we have a source backing a statement by an author, it should be clear in the source that they actually said it. However, I'm not worried about it because I see your logic, and since you literally wrote this article, I will concede. It looks great on the main page! I will keep an eye on the page for vandalism. I considered giving you a barnstar, but Cliftonian already gave you one for this article, and you probably have too many for your own good. :) Take care. Re: Deprecated parameters

Hi, just to let you know the category is now hidden, and Text should be removed once the infobox is updated. Looking at When God Writes Your Love Story, I was going to update publisher and publication date into published, but wasn't sure which of the two publishers (Loyal Publishing, Multnomah Books) did the first edition, whether they both did or whatnot (one of the unclear things about the old publisher2 parameter); let me know if you'd like a hand updating it, and again, sorry for the trouble. --xensyria^T 03:27, 25 August 2013 (UTC)

Ken MacLeod's Descent novel page redirects to Michael Winterbottom

On the Ken MacLeod page there is a link to his upcoming novel "Descent". However the article page for the novel is a redirect to Michael Winterbottom. I know this redirect was created a very long time ago but I don't see any link between the two, unless I missed something. Can I remove this redirect so I can create a page for the novel. Would you like to OA for a Molecular Biology course project?

Hi David,

I and User:Keilana are OAs for this course project. Another professor, teaching another section of the same course, has just decided that she would also like to run this Wikipedia project. This is very last minute -- the course officially starts tomorrow. But as you can see, the course page is already thoroughly documented and very detailed, and so the role you would play would be as a mentor and guide for editing, and as a reviewer for articles as they are written.

I'm good at writing short biographies and expanding/creating fictional works. I know that I can't insert too many reactions, but writing a perfect summary isn't easy. I couldn't summarize about Warren's and Obama's remarks and speeches. Firstly, thank you for creating this page. It provides great information about an organization I belong to. There is however one item I would ask that you remove.

Several of NASHI's members are also activists for the Public Service Alliance of Canada.[8]

While this is factually correct (we have two members who belong to the PSAC), being the only description of our members gives the impression that we are somehow affiliated with this union or directly support it's views. NASHI has members from many faiths, atheists, union members, those who work in management, retired persons, and ages from 18 to 80. Our only common ground is the fight against trafficking.

Kellie Loder (born 1988) is an independent singer-songwriter from Newfoundland who plays drums, guitar and piano. Having written her first song at age 16 about a cousin who died in a traffic accident, Loder was studying nursing at the Grenfell Campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland when she released her first album, The Way, in August 2009. Later that year, she won a talent-search contest hosted by YC Newfoundland, a Christian youth conference. Kellie Loder

Hi Neelix - just to clarify why I linked David and Goliath in place of David and Goliath. The article refers specifically to the story of David and Goliath - not to either one of them as individuals. Behind the scenes, the joint link redirects to Goliath, which is fine - anyone wanting to know about the background to the song will find it there (unlike the "David" article, which has a lot of unrelated material and anyway refers the reader to "Goliath" for a full account of the story). "Worm" picture

Worm - really human pathogen?

Hi Neelix,
in the german Wikipedia we had a discussion on the worm photograph you uploaded to the english wikipedia in 2009. You wrote "I am the originator of this photo. I hold the copyright. I release it to the public domain. This photo depicts a worm which was extracted from a human foot." and this is questioned. The "worm" seems to be a larvae of a Buprestidae, but all these are living in plants and not in flesh - I cannot imagine a scenario how this larvae can get into a human's foot. Do you have any ideas? Thank you for taking an interest in this photograph. I was working with Tshelanyemba Mission Hospital in Zimbabwe a few years ago and I personally know the doctor who extracted the pictured organism from a woman's foot. The doctor had no idea what the organism was, so I took a picture and added it to Wikipedia, hoping that someone would be able to identify it. Are you confident that the organism is a Buprestidae larvae and that such larvae do not bore into human heels? Neelix (talk) 02:04, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Let's talk here: I personally also had no idea and only tried to clean-up the commons category. I added this unidentified worm (be sure that it is a larvae) to the german identification page (de:Wikipedia:Redaktion_Biologie/Bestimmung#Knackn.C3.BCsse:_Wurm_..._.3F.2C_Skelettteile) to identify. I got two answers that this organism looks more like a Buprestidae than anything else - and Buprestidae normally bore in plants and under the bark of wood. Adopt a Course

Hi Neelix! I'm a composition instructor at the University of Miami, and have just begun a new project with my composition class. There are nine students in the class, and the goal of the project is for each of them to interact with Wikipedia(ns) in some meaningful way. This would mean finding a stub and adding content, resources, definitions, or copy-editing as necessary; translating an article (or part); or even creating a wanted page. We're going to start work on editing a Wikipedia page as a class so that they get some experience with this kind of work with some guidance first. Then they can start working on their own projects. Article moves

Hi Neelix. I'm not very familiar with article moving, so I'm hoping you can help (I know you do quite a bit of this, e.g. recently on my Marine Gate article). There was an article that was originally at the title Norfolk Hotel, Fremantle, which you moved to Norfolk Hotel because disambiguation was not needed. I will shortly be writing an article on Norfolk Hotel, Brighton (yet another Brighton building article!!); do you know if it's OK to simply move Norfolk Hotel back to Norfolk Hotel, Fremantle and to then create a dab page at Norfolk Hotel, or could that cause any problems with redirects or anything else? I won't do anything until I am ready to launch the article in mainspace, which was going to be today but which looks like it might actually be later in the week.
