Hello I'm am writing to you regarding the speedy deletion of my recently added page Charleston (Wrestler) although I would prefer the page to be reinstated I would settle for you to send me the information I put in the profile as it took me a lot of time and effort to do so. I created the page for my friend who is an up and coning young wrestler in England United Kingdom. It was going to be a nice surprise for him as he has a large rapidly growing fan base and as his media relations manger I thought thus would be a good idea for his fans to gain the information about him. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours Faithfully
Mr Guyett Timguyett13 (talk) 21:42, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Hello again thank you for your swift reply. First if all I would like to thank you for returning the information that I put into my article about my client Charlestown. I would also like to gracefully say how well I feel you have conducted yourself throughout this embargo. I think you should be proud of yourself in how you both managed to compile a reply to myself in such a decent and frankly quite terrific fashion and how quick your response was. For that I salute you and although I feel my client is a notable figure I understand your reasons for removal of my article. I hope that one day in the future you will see that my client is a notable figure and I think this will arise when you see him hoisted on my shoulders with his belt up high for all to see after winning the WWE championship and the crowd chanting in full voice. As a great man once said; "Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the plants you seed." - Robert Louis Stevenson.
Yours Humbly

Saving Manny the Frenchie?
[edit]Hello, I saw that you speedily deleted the article Manny the Frenchie as per G11. However, in reviewing the article when it was put online, I checked and saw that it was a legitimate subject that was the focus of significant media coverage. The article may have been badly written, but the core subject actually met WP:GNG requirements. I would be very happy to clean up the article if you could please return the original text to a sandbox connected to my account - I have free time coming up next week and I can re-edit the article, remove the promotional language and add the proper references. Thank you. And Adoil Descended (talk) 12:03, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

The Pentagon of Power?
[edit]Hi - I noticed that the wikilink for 'The Pentagon of Power' had been redlinked. This is the title of an important book which is part of a two-volume work by Lewis Mumford, The Myth of the Machine. When I went to create a redirect page, I noticed that you had deleted the earlier article of that name. Do I take it that this was a completely different usage of that phrase, and my creation of this redirect is uncontroversial? Thanks DaveApter (talk) 11:27, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- You take it correctly. The deleted article was about a high school math club. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:25, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
speedy deletion Cheminova
[edit]I was trying to create an english language article that matches the Danish version for this company. I had trouble finding info when doing research last week although they were famous for polluting the drinking water in Copenhagen and winning the lawsuit for environmental clean up. I think that meets the criteria for noteworthy. I intended to double check the sources before continuing the article but you deleted it before I could get that far. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lignumvitae (talk • contribs) 17:55, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- There weren't any sources at all in the article that was posted, nor any reference to pollution issues. If you repost the article with that topic mentioned, and with sources, it should be ok. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:46, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
Sarah Avanessian deletion
[edit]Why would you delete this article? It was important. More important than your page, which takes the same amount of space. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheApLanger (talk • contribs) 21:29, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
- See WP:BIO. And there is no page about me in article space. (User pages aren't the same thing.) NawlinWiki (talk) 15:44, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Myriah Gould deletion
[edit]Myriah Gould is an artist, with credits on IMDB, just like many other actors. Her photo will be shown on the Miss California website within the week; she deserves to be credited for all of this with a page, just many other artists are. Celebwatcher82 (talk) 22:17, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
- IMDB is user-edited, so it's not considered a reliable independent source (see WP:V). Generally, see WP:BIO. NawlinWiki (talk) 22:47, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Understood. She has been also writing for the Los Angeles Relationships Advice Examiner for two years. What else do I need to show you before getting her page active again? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Celebwatcher82 (talk • contribs) 18:36, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
- You need to find reliable independent sources, see WP:V, that discuss Ms. Gould and explain how she is notable per WP:BIO. Articles written by Ms. Gould herself are not independent. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:21, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
opossum page entry
[edit]the comment I added (that you deleted) was meant as a temporary joke. can I at least get a screen shot of it before deleting it? please? I promise I will delete it very quickly!
Randallicious (talk) 17:55, 8 November 2013 (UTC)randallicious
- Nope. You allow one joke on Wikipedia, you get thousands. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:20, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
- Agree that mainspace is not for pranks, but Randallicious can always make a copy of the opossum page in their sandbox, and take a screenshot there. Then, then can take a screenshot of the unsullied mainspace article, and use some kind of paint-app to merge the screenshots together. If the joke is ___that___ funny, then the extra steps would be worth it, right? Right. HTH. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 05:21, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

"You may not view details of this filter because it is hidden from public view."
[edit]Hello NawlinWiki, it looks like you modified abuseFilter#58 aka LongTermAbuse a few days ago, and it triggered a false-positive on me just a bit ago, which I reported here. Wikipedia:Edit_filter/False_positives#74.192.84.101 Sorry if you prefer not to be 'extra-judicially-notified' here on your talkpage like this, but I figured since you had just recently tweaked the filter, you might want a heads-up. Thanks for improving wikipedia, ping my on my talkpage if you need more details or whatever. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 05:16, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
- It was neither my most recent modification nor the word you thought it was. I've modified the filter, though. Thanks for the report, NawlinWiki (talk) 19:50, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Engr Patrick EKPOTU and permutations
[edit]I saw you deleted this and Engr Patrick ekpotu as blatant promotion. It's been reincarnated yet again at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Engr. Patrick Ekpotu. I've tagged it for speedy deletion as blatant copyvio from http://justice2015.com/index.php/78-profiles/87-engr-patrick-akpan-ekpotu (duplication detector). I assume the deleted articles were the same. Best, Voceditenore (talk) 07:01, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
Please reinstate '2degrees Network' page
[edit]Hello,
I am a student at the SAID Business School, whilst attempting to update the references on the 2degrees Network Wikipedia page I found it was deleted. I was updating this page because we use this page as a valuable resource for our studies. I also tried to update the current events to reflect the 2014 awards instead of 2013 as it was outdated. This was deemed to be unambiguous promotion or advertising but this is not the case. I would be grateful if you could reinstate 2degrees Network. Many Thanks.109.204.123.35 (talk) 16:11, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
- It wasn't specifically your edits, but the whole tenor of the article, starting with the introduction: "2degrees is an online business community that helps organisations unlock hidden opportunities for efficiency and growth by being more sustainable. The community achieves this through three unique and innovative service offerings:". See WP:NPOV and WP:SPAM. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:48, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of José Ducos-Bello
[edit]Hello NawlinWiki, you speedy deleted the article of José Ducos-Bello which was created by Pr4ever. You did this without taking the article to AfD nor did you at least notify the creator of the article as to your intentions and reasoning for your actions. The user in question, a fellow Wikipedian, expressed his concern in my talk page and I feel that the proper thing for you to do is to get in touch with him in his talk page and at least explain your actions since he went into a lot of trouble of creating the article and since it is our job as Wikipedians to encourage others to contribute to our project. Thank you Tony the Marine (talk) 19:37, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
- I think I was influenced by the laudatory and slanted tone of the article. Regardless, you are correct that this should have been an AFD rather than a speedy delete. (Note that the article was tagged for speedy deletion by User:Drmies, who did in fact notify the author.) I've restored the article, sent it to AFD, and notified the author. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 22:22, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
- I was notified at the same time it was being deleted, which was around 1:00 am in Puerto Rico, not exactly the best time to take a look at this. I appreciate your restoring the article while a discussion takes place. Thank you!Pr4ever (talk) 22:38, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
- Why would this have to go through AfD? No credible claim of significance was made. Note also that there are (or were) two identical articles, José Ducos-Bello and Jose Rafael Ducos Bello, created by Research37037--begging the question of the relationship between Research and PR4ever. Tony, we have CSD for a reason. This is not news to you. Drmies (talk) 23:23, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
Spambot blocking
[edit]Hi NawlinWiki,
I now notice a spambot block of yours with prevention of logged in users and no editing of talk page. Have you seen any spambot behaviour that needs this extra precaution? I have never seen a spambot edit its own talk page. Normally I would allow this so that an actual person affected could appeal. And do we have spambots that actually register a user here? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 20:22, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
- We do, in fact, have user account spambots. The pattern is usually a post to the user page on the order of "Hi, my name is _____. Here is my website: _____." The reason for the talk page blocks is that we had a couple of vandals who used open-proxy talk pages to post vandalism. But that hasn't happened in a while, so I will stop locking the talk pages. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 22:14, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
Hoax info
[edit]Could you dig up the creation date(s) for Sid the Cat? I'd like to add it to WP:List of hoaxes on Wikipedia. Thanks! --Lexein (talk) 12:33, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
- Created April 5, 2007, and deleted four days later. Doesn't seem like it's worth listing. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:14, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks.
Oh well.--Lexein (talk) 19:40, 13 November 2013 (UTC) - Followup: Sure seemed like a hoax back in 2007 when I noticed it. I was working on Shaun the Sheep back when the the author linked to it in two articles [7][8] and I reverted here and you reverted here. But if I recall correctly, it didn't have any realistic fake sources to back it up, so it wasn't much of a real attempt. --Lexein (talk) 12:36, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks.
UTRS Ticket
[edit]Hi NawlinWiki. I'm reviewing an unblock request for User:Edible topology whom you blocked on 1 October 2008. You blocked them for abusing multiple accounts but I can't seem to find anything in your logs about why the account was blocked nor anything in your contribs. A search at SPI turned up nothing as well. I know its a long shot, but do you recall anything from 5 years ago regarding this?--v/r - TP 13:58, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
- I don't specifically recall this, other than that this was a period when the vandals JarlaxleArtemis and ByAppointmentTo were creating large numbers of socks for pagemove vandalism. If you are satisfied that this is not either of those vandals, OK with me to unblock. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:47, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

speedy deletion of Aircharter
[edit]I am legitimately trying to get our company information on to wikipedia, I did some reading and am working on the most clear and unbiased page I can write.
out of the following, which sort of info should be removed?:
- basic info
- history
- company locations/divisions
- products and services: description of software services, description of sales services (I have no clue how to make these non-promotional)
- company honors and awards (quite relevant but i don't know if these should be in there)
- notable persons in company
does this sound good? I'll re-write everything to be completely factual
thanks! Adamecho (talk) 17:40, 22 November 2013 (UTC)Adamecho
- We are usually pretty leery of people writing about their own company, see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and WP:SPAM. You need to avoid any laudatory or promotional language, see WP:NPOV. Any article about the company should show, by citation to reliable, *independent* sources (i.e., not the company's own website, see WP:V), how the company meets our standards of notability for inclusion in the encyclopedia, see WP:CORP. Speedy deletion of Douglas Schottenstein, MD
[edit]Hi, the other night you deleted an article written about named doctor above. He is a prominent pain management specialist in his field and in NYC. Deletion of page InventHelp’s INPEX Invention Trade Show
[edit]Hello Nawlin, I want to discuss about the deletion of page aforementioned. The page should not be deleted as it holds a distinctive value and is notable according to WP:NOTE. It is the biggest invention trade fair in United States. I do agree that in some points, the article is a bit advertised which should be edited from neutral point of view. But deletion of the article is not what i am in favor of. Also for a similar example, have a look at the page ERA D2C Convention which is also an industry related trade show. I hope you understand and take appropriate decision soon. Regards Mr RD (talk) 20:23, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
- I didn't see any sources that weren't either the show itself or PR releases, see WP:V. You need to find reliable independent sources that explain how this event is notable per WP:EVENT. Also, I deleted the ERA D2C article for essentially the same reasons. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:17, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
- As far as WP:V sources are concerned, after searching for the such sources, i have found some. Have a look at [9], [10], [11], [12],[13]. Neither of the given sources appear to me as connected directly to the event holding company or PR of any kind. Mr RD (talk) 14:52, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- Numbers 9 and 10 are valid independent sources. Feel free to repost the article with those, but please try to avoid promotional language. NawlinWiki (talk) 18:00, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- Question: Dear NawlinWiki: Are you sure that both number 9 and 10 constitute SIGCOV? (Mr RD, please see WP:42.) The articles actually each say very little about the show itself. They speak more about specific exhibitors. Cheers, —Unforgettableid (talk) 04:41, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

I believe there is significance to the post, with edits to include recent recognition and industry involvement as well as technological differentiation based on similar posts by other organizations in the "VoIP companies of the United States" category. Is there a vetting process I need to go through?
