Kottarakkara
[edit]Hello,
A curious reader of Kerala history, I would be grateful to have some information on the royal families that stayed in Kottarakkara. The earliest reference I get is to Ilayidathu Swaroopam. When did they settle in Kottarakkara? Was there any other family before them? Any clue when the first palace was constructed by the royals? I checked with a few well-educated people from Kottarakkara but they could't throw any light on the history of the area. They keep talking about 'land of palaces' theory (which is rubbish)and about Film actors.
Changanacherry, where I lived till I migrated out of Kerala, too appears in Wikipedia. It did not contain any section for History which I added last week. Please go through it. I will be updating the Wikipedia write-up on Kottarakkara, though it will be brief, because not much information is forthcoming from the people of the town.
I am sure you can help me. My email: raj400064@gmail.com

Nakshatra Entry Dear Naveen
I notice that you had edited the nakshatra page and tabulated the 27 asterisms. Well done. Can you please also include the Tamil language equivalents for each nakshatra (in addition to the current Devanagari) as was included in the previous version. You had inadvertently dropped that.
Many thanks, Dipendra--Dipendra2007 (talk) 14:49, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
Can you discuss the merger of various Hinduism related templates into one on the Hinduism Noticeboard, to see if there is consensus for such a change (not many editors have the template page on their watchlist, and so would not have noticed the recent changes) ? Till such a discussion is concluded, it would be advisable not to substitute {{Hindu scriptures}}, {{Hindu philosophy}} etc, out of articles. Cheers. Abecedare (talk) 04:34, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
- Note for you on Template talk:Hinduism. --Redtigerxyz Talk 05:56, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I think you are expert in modifying/creating the template. It would be great if you can look at Shri Gaudapadacharya Math and see if you can help edit or provide or suggest better template. I just took it from some other page and tried to modify it for this page. Thank you in advance. --Ashok Prabhu (Talk) 08:50, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Naveen,
You changed the Devanagari of the Satyameva Jayate verse — and it no longer matches the transliteration, nor the version given in the sanskritdocuments source, nor the translation ("sages" is more likely to be "ṛṣayo" than "मनुष्यो", right?). Could you check for the correct version and fix it? Thanks, Shreevatsa (talk) 13:50, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- I've changed this; I searched online and the earlier version seems more common (is the only one found in books, etc.). Regards, Shreevatsa (talk) 15:48, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

This edit is highly inappropriate: it makes the template code far less maintainable and wasn't accompanied by so much as a comment on the talk page. Unless you have a better reason for it than personal aesthetic quibbles (which could probably be easily fixed if you'd bothered to ask me rather than just hitting the revert button and wandering off) then I'll be restoring the updated code. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) - talk 14:31, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
- I've now reverted to the updated codebase. In future, when reverting such a significant amount of work please consider taking the small amount of time required to justify the undo on the template talk page or with the editor in question. Looking for some help
[edit]Hello,
Lately we worked on an article Kithaab - a Malayalam-language play about women's right issues & article is getting translated in various languages. We are looking for small but important help in following matters.
1) We seek your help in finding wayout about Talk:Kithaab#Subsequent mentions of 'Rafeeq Mangalassery' as per naming convention. Keen to know how does Malayalam Wikipedia deals with naming convention.
2) Actually translation in Malayalam language article ml:കിത്താബ് gets completed will make understanding naming conventions of proper nouns more easily & also help build confidance of translators.
3) If you are comfortable with Devnagari script we need help in choosing correct writing of Malayalam proper nouns in Hindi. If you know Hindi language well then review of translation at hi:किताब (नाटक) is also we appreciate.
Thanks & warm regards Bookku (talk) 03:29, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
