@ Lopifalko,

Hello once again. First of all, many thanks for your active support and guidance in copy editing.

citation

[edit]

1) One of your citation expectation in section Rafeeq Mangalassery has been completed with due citations. The second one "...the Safdar Hashmi national award for the play Jinnu Krishnan " one partial citation is already there at ennumammaliennaindiakkaran.com/ Could not cross confirm in English media, until we get cross confirmation reference we will withdraw this info from the article.

Subsequent mentions of 'Rafeeq Mangalassery' as per naming convention

[edit]

2) At Wikipedia Teahouse, Maproom had suggested, "...full name on first mention, and just use his family name subsequently" but to crosscheck with Malayalam user, So I discussed the issue with Sreejithk2000 on his talk page. Sreejithk2000 says "..For the last name, let's not use Mangalassery because it's his house name. Its uncommon in Kerala to refer a person by his last name, so let's stick to the first name itself" . So I seek your guidance in this respect.

Thanks and warm regards Bookku (talk) 04:51, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Question about "Purdah"

[edit]

Hello @ Bookku, I don't know if you saw it in the french translation, but I replaced "purdah" by "burqa" because the sentence refers to a dress and "purdah" is a practice, I thought "burqa" was the dress mentioned, even if I'm not sure, I think maybe it's better to put the name of a dress ...

Olga Rithme (talk) 09:50, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for delay in reply. As per context of the sentence you seem to be on right side. As such "Niqab" & "burqa" are visible sides in public spaces. But as such practice of getting segregation from non-Mahram males gets practiced to the level of home. It's just not physical segregation but communication also reduced minimum required including all this makes Purdah.
How much is just limited to publicly visible dressing & how much percolates to entire way of life to become system of Purdah depends on how conservative preachers are & how local communities & women are responding.
Thanks

Finally I deleted burqa and wrote purdah, it seems good like that. --Olga Rithme (talk) 11:04, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
