Zavorsky
Why should Dr. Zavorsky have a Wikipedia web page? Shouldn't he have to prove his "notability" to the Wikipedia public? Looks like self-advertising for 2 reasons: (1) it is unreferenced (or if you count the one that is there, under-referenced) ; and (2) not at the level of your list of notables or Nobel Prize Winners!
Anyway, even though some of this *may* be disinformation - I still believe in the Wikipedia self-correcting mechanisms.
Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.201.227.209 (talk) 01:44, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- (Posted on your talk page also) Removing the CSD tag does not mean I think this person necessarily deserves a Wikipedia page. It just means I don't think this particular article meets any of the criteria for speedy deletion. CSD are only used on articles that are so obviously unacceptable or harmful to Wikipedia that they need to be removed immediately, which is why they only apply to things that are obviously not appropriate, such as empty pages, attack pages, and copyright infringement. This particular article is probably better suited to a proposed deletion or, better yet, the full blown articles for deletion process. Anonymous users can't create the pages necessary to complete the AfD process, but I would be happy to help if that's something you want to pursue. Natalie 02:55, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Businessman's Response
It must have been by accident, I was intending to tag it as "not notable", apologies. Sorry about that. Also, I don't see the need in re-tagging, as it seems the original article creator has cleaned up a lot of the POV stuff that wasn't suppose to be there. Thanks for letting me know. If you have anything you need to tell me, leave it on my talk page (I may not have this page on watch), thanks again. businessman332211 02:34, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

User: Brown-Haired Girl vs Ryoung122
Greetings,
In response to your request for more information, here is a typical comment made by BrownHairedGirl:
Comment. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to believe any of the claims made by Robert Young. In a comment above made from an IP address, Young says "there's a big difference between 'rat catcher for the local council' and in charge of the world's oldest people for the entire planet". If someone who claims to be a researcher thinks that they are "in charge of the world's oldest people for the entire planet", I have to seriously question whether anything they write can be trusted. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 10:15, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Let me say this: this user is used to being a pro-deletionist 'bully', as here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Mathematics
The category was deleted despite consensus to 'keep.'
The original complaints concerning the Category:supercentenarian trackers CFD was that I was 'messing up the page' by posting EVIDENCE to refute the accusation that the term was made up.
Wikipedia is not paper, but some are running as if WP:OWN and are vowed to crush anyone who dares stand in the way of their decision. Incorrect behavior on the part of user:BHG in the current debate has included making baiting comments such as those above, canvassing (User:Kittybrewster), making false statements, deleting relevant information, and coming at the issues with a top-down, heavy-handed approach. Finally, on Nov 7, a 'conciliatory' message was produced by BHG, but it didn't last long, and it's back to the attack-attack-attack mode. For example,
Comment. Is checkuser appropriate for 72.158.38.41 (talk • contribs • WHOIS • RDNS • RBLs • block user • block log • checkip) of Atlanta? - Kittybrewster ☎ 10:45, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Yet I never denied that user 72 was me, and it was clear I was. We also see:
Comment. Yes I am a fan of BHG. That led me here. Additionally I was irritated by the flood of protest, commenting and editing by Mr Young. Irrelevant to the point that this fails WP:BIO. In any event it is for the closing admin to decide the merits of the arguments. - Kittybrewster ☎ 16:46, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
Quote: I AM A FAN OF BHG. THAT LED ME HERE.
Such as it is, that is inappropriate behavior. Can they expect me to play fair when they are cheating? User Aboutmovies had started the article Mary Ramsey Wood, which turned into a dispute because he didn't want to accept that she was 97 and not 120, which evidence turned up by myself showed was the case. He was involved in both the first AFD dispute and this one. It is ironic that in ALL cases, the truth was on my side. I have made more than 7000 edits to Wikipedia (actually more because I sometimes don't sign in) and 98.5% of those edits were not deleted. 96% of the 77 articles I started still exist. Clearly, what is at issue here is when RETRIBUTION becomes the driving force. User BHG nominated my article for deletion after I dared to defend the 'supercentenarian trackers' category. I did suggest compromises, such as renaming or merging. The irony is that the compromise may work; what remains to be seen, however, is how this current dispute will play out.
I am all for being nice/polite/civil. But both sides must play fair for that to happen. Given that the other side has more power, it is all the more incumbent that they use that power judiciously, not abusively. Insisting to have a 'stack the deck' approach to an AFD comment board hardly constitutes fairness. If a misstatement is made, it is reasonable to assume that a counter-claim be placed right there, so the reader can hear both sides. Note that I did not delete any of BHG's comments, yet she deleted mine. I posted quite a number of messages to her talk page, indicating evidence of attempted civility. All but one have so far been returned with hostility. To me, what is incredulous is that, the more evidence exists to support my position, the more people turn to illogical attacks such as 'you can't believe anything he says.' Lie detector test, where art thou? I would pass with flying colors.
Sincerely, Robert Young Ryoung122 11:57, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

- Ah right... that's my problem currently, I hadn't noticed yet that it does it when you're not editing... I thought it consulted with the server or something that would easily know if I'm offline or not from the login and general traffic... there are only those type of status update templates? No perfectly accurate ones? -- Mentifisto 17:45, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Anonymous IP constantly reverting changes
Hi Natalie,
I was going through AN/I and saw your posts in a few different topics and that you are also an administrator. Would you mind taking a brief look at WP:AN/I#Nonconstructive reverts and edits to ancestry templates by IP address 24.57.196.130? It seems to be getting very little attention. The user is still continuing his or her reverting spree and the reverts are wholly non-constructive. I have posted on his or her talk page without a response. The IP seems to be used by only one individual, so I doubt it is a case of the user not receiving the messages. I have also made note of the issue in edit summaries, but to no avail. Thank you! Responding Back
Hi Natalie, I got your message, what I did in changing the article about Post-Impressionism was because it was vandalized and I couldn't just let that go you know? Anyway, just letting you know that if I see problems I will do my best to correct them
Martin H. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.161.18.254 (talk) 03:18, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
I just got your other message, the reason I did it in two reverts was because I was just a little unsure if the jpg that was listed on the edit page was actually a legit photo. After looking again after the 1st revert I discovered that it was not so then continued with the 2nd one. It makes me sick to see that people waste their time trashing articles that so many people have worked hard to produce with as much accuracy as possible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.161.18.254 (talk) 03:24, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Two more things before I let you go.....I used to have a user name on wikipedia but lost it long ago, it there any sort of way I can retrieve that? I have the same email that I signed up with but I didn't notice anything that I could get my user name and password sent to me. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I am an artist myself, I call my art Post-Abstract Expressionism, I had actually written an article about it, what its influences were, and all that, I even included some of my own paintings for examples, I noticed that it was deleted some time ago, and I was wondering if that is actually wrong of me to do? If you need my email concerning the acquisition of my user name I would be happy to give to you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.161.18.254 (talk) 03:34, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Eva Angelina Page.
I got banned yesterday for temporarily by you for deleting the page sorry. But what I will object to is the image used in her page that image is offensive. If someone young comes to that page by mistake searching for something or someone else. All I am asking for is to remove the image as wikipedia is a site thousands of people use to learn new things and research assignments its not to put women with half showing body parts which is rude and offensive especially on this site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.106.47.247 (talk) 05:29, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- 1)How is it offensive? Seriously, I have never understood that argument. 2)If a child was doing a research program for school and using Wiki, it is very unlikely he would stumble across a pornstar's page - unless he meant to, in which he could do the same anywhere on the internet. The Rypcord. 11:35, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
I will paste this on my userpage as well, in case you are no longer at this IP address. I'm sorry your offended by the photo. Your objections are common, and have been answered in the essay Wikipedia is not censored. You may also wish to read the Content disclaimer. Natalie 14:22, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Hi Natalie
So sorry for that. Because the article page and the user page titles were almost identical, I didn't notice that it had been user-fied. I've since restored the deleted page. Sorry once again for the trouble. --Rifleman 82 (talk) 19:45, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Elizabeth Jane Via
Elizabeth Jane Via is the prosecutor who was responsible for the atrocities committed against the Wade family for which they won a $3.7 million judgement against County of San Diego and other parties.
People need to be able to find out more about the parties who are responsible for the ongoing series of San Diego Child Protective Services abuses against families.
San Diego County Grand Jury has investigated CPS misconduct since 1988 and filed repeated reports to get the misconduct corrected and even gone so far as to back reform legislation in the state government. None of this has worked. See the Dale Akiki case, for instance. The abuses continue even today with rampant violations of US civil right laws.
CPS does some good for some children, but when they go on a witchhunt with people like Via, innocent people including children get badly hurt.
I tried to write the article on Elizabeth Jane Via as a stub with a very neutral tone and link it to the other articles with which she is involved.
Families in San Diego County who are being abused by these people need to be able to find out how severe the problems are in order to help their fights to protect their children and themselves. Suppressing information on this is not a good thing.
Could you please consider undeleting the article and I can add more references and a further explanation of its significance?

Queen's Cup Yacht Race
I am trying to create a page detailing a very important yacht race. You have deleted the page for 'blatant copyright infringement'.
I am perplexed as to the nature of this infringement. Can you please help me understand how meet your copyright requirements so that I can document information both about the race and it's prize, the Queen's Cup.
Further complicating the issue is that there is a Queen's Cup soccer/football competition in Thailand that already has the page and I will need to disambiguate.
Thanks for your help.

Queen's Cup Yacht Race (continued)
Of course it's a direct copy of that web site. I am one of the people that wrote it. It is valid information that we, the South Shore Yacht Club, think should be documented in this universal encyclopedia. The yacht club has authorized me to put this information here. Your saying I have to reword it? Do I have to prove ownership? Do I need the club to give up it's supposed copyright or make direct mention of it. Do I have to get the club to take the information down and point them here? I understand your need to control copyright infringement, but this is not one of those cases.
[update] As a member and a volunteer for the South Shore Yacht Club, I am both copyright holder and directly associated with the copyright holding organization. Do not assume work product where it doesn't exist.

Re: Hola
Hi, Natalie. Here is bibliotecario galio from the Spanish Wikipedia. The user you are talking about used to be active on es:, as seen on his contributions log while being 205.240.227.15, but seems to have disappeared since I blocked him on May 7. He hasn't signed as El Jigüe nor edited with his current IP, 208.65.188.149. Fortunately, that's all what I have to say. Stephen R. Pellerine
Thanks for your kind response. I would like to clarify issues. The username HCTProjectDay was created by the college as we were having a project day and wanted students to research and submit information to build the representation of our site online. The RAK Men’s College site was a large scale challenge, supervised by faculty to represent programs and activities that were taking place at our college, and is in no way attempting to sell or boast what we do. It was a genuine effort to research our college, as a group of about 45 and publish the results on Wikipedia; hence, the username HCTProjectDay with all participants agreeing to release their materials and content into the public domain.
I, Stephen R. Pellerine am the second user and decided to add my name since it is not the HCT group discussing the deletion. My pure intention was to be above the table with you and not precede with activities Wikipedia frowns upon, honestly, my intentions are to support my students, and the college they are at, and the nation they live in.
So the content was generated by many people. All were aware what would be happening with the work, and 100% of the images are free to use. I will admit that being a first time user I must have made many critical errors, and apologize for this. The content was not copied, although I will verify with each instructor, and modifications will be made.
Is it possible to have the site back up and running? We will make changes.
Kind regards
Stephen R. Pellerine

I may not be any where being a youtube celebrity, but I got a message just a little bit ago from one of my fans saying they created a wikipedia page for me, and by the time I got it and looked at the page it was already deleted by you. Now I come here asking that it please be put back up. He worked on it, and I think it's only fair that it's not deleted. It wasn't perfect according to him, but it was a start. I'd figure it'd be a good way to get some people involved into Wikipedia. I looked over your guidelines and I didn't really see exactly which rule it would of fallen under for being delete. You can see that there are several, several wikipedia pages dedicated to people on youtube, so why not one more?

Not only doesn't this article have enough context, it completely lacks context whatsoever. Please do not remove the CSD tag until such context is given. A list of percentages is not context. Also, the English doesn't make much sense. The article requires cleanup before it can be removed from CSD. Thanks. – Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 03:50, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, I disagree. You're right that the article is short, and it's poorly written, but neither of those are speedy deletion reasons. It describes the amino acid, which is context. And there's no rule forbidding me from removing the CSD tag, since I didn't create the article. Natalie (talk) 03:53, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, there is a procedure to follow if you disagree with a CSD, and it doesn't involve removing the CSD template. Instead, you must add
{{hangon}}
directly below it and explain why on the talk page. Please follow the procedure in the future. Apparently it didn't matter for this article, but for others, you should do what's asked. Thanks; happy editing! – Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 05:59, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

We will start to rebuild under our own names, and we will not post under the HCT Project Day again, does this sound like the path we should be on?

Super Amanda
Artist has been mentioned in Rolling Stone by Pete Townshend, which due to an erroneous claim by Townshend about her personal life necessitated a public apology via Townshend's then online diary. http://www.igtc.com/pipermail/thewho/2006-October/014288.html She was also referenced by Playboy editor Josh Robertson as being a double for Tura Satana http://www.playboy.com/blog/2007/08/respectful-disagreement-a-youtube-odyssey.html/ plus she is one of the founding members of The Bay Area Paul Robeson Committee: http://www.bayarearobeson.org/OurTeam.htm plus over 6 million hits on youTube, a two dozen fashion articles under her real name Amanda Casabianca. Artist has also appeared on In The Atticwith Pete Townshend and Rachel Fuller.
This diversely talented artist needs at least few sentences linking her to the Kill Switch Klick article that you deleted, she's too multi-talented talented and interesting to not be referenced. http://blogs.newsobserver.com/beat/index.php?title=third_of_never_super_amanda_classic_rock&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 http://www.thefreelibrary.com/NANNIES+BEWARE:+MOM+IS+WATCHING+HELPERS:+STRANGERS+TELL+ABOUT...-a0170990309 http://www.filly.ca/taste_and_style/wear_it_with_style/basics/Jean_Fit_Guide.asp
